YoloinOhio Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-jets/post/_/id/57533/jets-qb-ryan-fitzpatrick-admits-return-to-buffalo-has-extra-meaning The Jets have a five-game winning streak, and Fitzpatrick has 13 touchdown passes and only one interception over that span. Prior to that, the Bills made him look bad in a Thursday night game at MetLife Stadium in Week 10. He completed only 15 of 34 passes for 194 yards and two interceptions, acknowledging afterward he made several poor decisions. He all but admitted that Ryan's defensive schemes got into his head.
stevewin Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 If only Rex's schemes could get into our players' heads...
26CornerBlitz Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It should mean a lot more. He stunk the longest when he was a Buffalo Bill.

r00tabaga Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I like Fitzy, just not this week. Kill the wedding band wearing, bearded Harvard grad!
26CornerBlitz Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Prepare yourself for extra intense girly screams! @Edwerderespn #Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick told me he, OC Chan Gailey _ together with #Bills _ have "unfinished business.'' Jets seek playoff berth vs #Bills
PO16FFS Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) @Edwerderespn #Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick told me he, OC Chan Gailey _ together with #Bills _ have "unfinished business.'' Jets seek playoff berth vs #Bills Kind of odd. I clearly remember watching Chan Gailey say he had nothing bad to say about Buffalo. He loved his time in Buffalo and would comeback. FITZ has done nothing since leaving Buffalo other than this year. So what unfinished business might this be with the Jets? Losing to the BIlls and saying thanks for the huge contract he signed? Sorry if Buddy Nix hurt his feelings with that phone call bit the Bills did make him a wealthy man. And BTW Fitz is a FA this year. He's going to hit the jackpot again. Sounds like he meant they weren't able to finish what they started together in buffalo, and are doing so now.

Guess he's still ticked off about Buddy's comments on the publicly released phone call with Mark Dominik that ultimately led to his release.

Maury Ballstein Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Break this bum in half. Was just listening to Stugotz on Lebatard show. He's a jets fan and fully expects the jets to lose this game.

Does he also have a gunslinger mentality? (just getting ahead of the announcers) Edited December 30, 2015 by nucci

Losing to the BIlls and saying thanks for the huge contract he signed? Hardly a huge contract for a starting QB. Certainly would have been a bargain compared to what they bathed Mario in---no ROI on that mistake. Good for Fitz--he's tougher than anyone on this roster (bar TT, maybe). He's playing great football and his team is winning.

Now if that is not a huge contract, please give me some of your money!

Mr. WEO Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 6 years for 59 million, 24 Million Guaranteed. Now if that is not a huge contract, please give me some of your money! Not for a staring QB. Reread.
PO16FFS Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Not for a staring QB. Reread. I never thought he stared that much. Trent Edwards and Rob Johnson on the other hand got sacked staring all the time.
dpberr Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 While I'm generally not a fan that expects doom in every game, I do expect Ryan to use the same exact scheme simply because it worked the last time. Why change it, you know? I'll be stunned if the defense looks any different. While I appreciate that Fitz has QB ability and has had a good year, Ryan's stonecutter mentality and hubris will permit Fitz to have an excellent day against a depleted Bills defense.
