Class act Jason Witten.

He is, and the ultimate teammate. How he's kept his mouth shut through Dez Bryant shenanigans and signing Hardy is a testament to that. Maybe it would be better if he did let his feelings about Hardy be known since one of his foundation's aims is to help women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.

In what way would you like him to speak out?

I read your post several times. More than several.

Would it be better for Witten to come out and say something along the lines of "I am a religious man and I hope that the Lord forgives Hardy for any wrong doing but he has shown to me that he is a changed and better man?" ...or... "It is not my place to judge and I work with Hardy. I do not know what happened and nothing can change the past?" ...or...? I mean, what can really be said?! It's a tough spot but you're a wise dude so I am curious.

I ask because I wish more people would not be afraid to speak out to such things. I would like to have guys like Witten say something.

On another note, it's amazing how TE's are some of the nicest guys in the league: Olsen, Gates, Witten, Chandler, etc.

Yeah he crushed Taylor on a close call of being out of bounds.

ah, ok. Randy Gregory was more noticeable.

Just looked it up, he had 1/2 sack too. But got beat by TT for 7 yards on 3rd and 6.

I didn't say he should. I called him "the ultimate teammate." But...I can't ignore the fact that his foundation supports victims of abuse. He had a tough upbringing IIRC from my days in Dallas and there's a reason why this is his main cause. To stay quiet might make you the ultimate teammate, but, doesn't it also make you hypocritical? Just asking.

Being the ultimate teammate involves being a hypocrite, or many things potentially because the value of a teammate is putting your team before yourself.

Ultimately, there are moral conflicts internalized by some men that do not allow them this luxury, but by all accounts Witten is as you say: the ultimate teammate.
