PO16FFS Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Enjoy the article. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/25427044/saints-to-restructure-if-payton-stays-look-to-marrone-if-coach-leaves Sad times in Bills land when I miss Marrone!
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 SAINT Doug to coach the Saints? Brees would retire immediately.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Drew Brees is going to love that high-octane Nate Hackett offense.
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 The best part is he would be reunited with CJ for the up the middle for no gain on 1st and 2nd down playbook. Super Bowl!
Arkady Renko Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Doug Marrone's agent must have a nice connection with Jason LaConfora. Probably not a coincidence that LaConfora was stirring things up regarding Whaley the other day.
Best Player Available Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I don't miss Maroon. never will. Kind of wish the fish would hire him. he is a loser. Always will be. Will the Aints give him a buyout clause? if not for his history with that team. his name would not be in this rumor mill. When your best coaching achievement is winning a New Era pinstripe bowl ( whatever that is). Not once but twice! i can see why he is such a hot commodity. And a college record of 25-25, one can see why russ brandon was so enamored with his genius.
4merper4mer Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 That guy has a good agent getting articles planted like that.
johnnychemo Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 The health of owner Tom Benson remains a significant concern within the organization Found this part interesting. Dougie gets another opt-out and bails on another organization in a couple of years perhaps?
dave mcbride Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 SAINT Doug to coach the Saints? Brees would retire immediately. He coached Brees as OC in NO. For all we know, Brees likes him just fine.
PO16FFS Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 ALot of hate on here for the only coach who seemed to actually have control of his dressing room. He argued with Whaley, he benched Hughes. He had players made accountable.

He had players made accountable. Yeah but did he eat a dog biscuit? Lose control of the lockerroom by week 15? You know, things that matter.
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) ALot of hate on here for the only coach who seemed to actually have control of his dressing room. He argued with Whaley, he benched Hughes. He had players made accountable. they had the second highest penalty total in the league last year. And he wasn't the one who benched Hughes - he said he didn't even know he was benched and said it was Pepper Johnson. One of the biggest games of the year that they lost by a TD and he didn't know one of his best players wasn't on the field for a whole half. I miss that guy!! Edited December 27, 2015 by YoloinOhio

He argued with Whaley, he benched Hughes. He had players made accountable. having control of a "dressing room" and assembling a staff on offense and well O-line that canPlay On Sundays are two very different things. On defense he was handed the keys to a hyper car. And he didn't have a whole lot of input there. So for that I thank him. he was such a douche that after preaching continuity he sends a mass text notifying his players he quit. Classless no talent guy, and certainly not a leader. He hit 9-7 and that last win has an asterisk he played the reigning superbowl champs JV squad. I thought the hoody** was going to fall asleep on that Sunday. brady in the first half treated it like the opening pre season game. And the moron managed to pull it out. Big deal.
YoloinOhio Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I also miss how he purposely made sure Watkins didn't get 1000 yards last year by not throwing to him in 2nd half vs Pats. FAs flock to guys like that!

Green Lightning Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I just don't care. Let's fix the mess we have and to Hell with the past.
