This will be my second Christmas since my wife passed. Spending Christmas alone is very hard, Being a quiet kind of shy person it

has left me with very few friends. I don't have much of a family, so it's just me this Christmas eve once again. I wish my fellow TBD family a Merry Christmas. If you have a significent other in your life, hold them tight and never take a moment for granted. Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless.

Sorry for your continuing pain. it takes a long time to learn how to deal with this. You never really do get over it. I lost my Wife in 2005 to brain cancer. it was a seven year battle. it's a tough road when one loses their soul-mate.

Merry Christmas stay strong.

Westside, thank you for joining so many of us for Christmas.

Have you considered volunteering for the holiday? I have done so in the past and it is a lot of fun and very much a reward and gift itself.

Can't imagine how hard that must be. And a few great friends are better than a bunch of crappy ones! Not a normal Xmas for us this year either as my mother in law is battling leukemia. She had a bone marrow transplant on Nov. 15 and luckily got out of the hospital on Dec 7 so we are very thankful to have her home for the holidays. Definitely a time of year to be thankful for what we have even when it's not easy. I'll cheers you one from Ohio and hope although difficult you can think of some good memories and smile tonight. God bless and Merry Christmas!

I am alone for christmas eve as well.......hanging around the site while watching the game

- Daughter off with the boyfriend

- Son off to college

- Wife off at work

I do get the consolation of having a grandson in my house for the first time for his first christmas tomorrow morning.

We have not celebrated Christmas much in the last 5 years....kids off doing their thing, both me and my wife working either one or both.....and going through a Chapter 13 bankruptsy for the last 5 years so broke most of the time (I am hoping Santa brings me a discharge soon so sick of this crap)

A friend wanted to hang out tonight and due to the lack of finding a bar that is open that won't happen.

It'd be nice to grab a drink tonight; I usually work too much to go out enough to just enjoy some drinks.

So, being alone is totally fine with me. But, there is nothing on TV.
