outsidethebox Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 This will be my second Christmas since my wife passed. Spending Christmas alone is very hard, Being a quiet kind of shy person it has left me with very few friends. I don't have much of a family, so it's just me this Christmas eve once again. I wish my fellow TBD family a Merry Christmas. If you have a significent other in your life, hold them tight and never take a moment for granted. Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless.

Sorry for your continuing pain. it takes a long time to learn how to deal with this. You never really do get over it. I lost my Wife in 2005 to brain cancer. it was a seven year battle. it's a tough road when one loses their soul-mate. Merry Christmas stay strong.
zevo Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Hey Man....my thoughts and prayers go out to you....the holidays make things especially tough when you have lost loved ones. You take care. Merry Christmas.
Mike in Horseheads Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I hope for what little it helps, thoughts and prayers to you. God Bless.
BringBackFergy Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Westie. Stay online tonight. We're still your family here so I'll check in later. Is your daughter in town?? Have a drink, watch some football. Prayers to you buddy and Merry Christmas!!
/dev/null Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I lost my Mom to breast cancer 7 years ago. The holidays are still rough on my Dad. Instead of dwelling on what you have lost, focus on remembering what you had. Stay strong and have a Merry Christmas
Beerball Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Sorry for your continued pain Westie. Hopefully this place provides some therapeutic benefit.

Westside, thank you for joining so many of us for Christmas. Have you considered volunteering for the holiday? I have done so in the past and it is a lot of fun and very much a reward and gift itself.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Can't imagine how hard that must be. And a few great friends are better than a bunch of crappy ones! Not a normal Xmas for us this year either as my mother in law is battling leukemia. She had a bone marrow transplant on Nov. 15 and luckily got out of the hospital on Dec 7 so we are very thankful to have her home for the holidays. Definitely a time of year to be thankful for what we have even when it's not easy. I'll cheers you one from Ohio and hope although difficult you can think of some good memories and smile tonight. God bless and Merry Christmas!
John from Riverside Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 I am alone for christmas eve as well.......hanging around the site while watching the game - Daughter off with the boyfriend - Son off to college - Wife off at work I do get the consolation of having a grandson in my house for the first time for his first christmas tomorrow morning. We have not celebrated Christmas much in the last 5 years....kids off doing their thing, both me and my wife working either one or both.....and going through a Chapter 13 bankruptsy for the last 5 years so broke most of the time (I am hoping Santa brings me a discharge soon so sick of this crap)
BringBackFergy Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hey Westie....what's the difference between a dead cat in the road and a dead lawyer in the road?? (Waiting)
outsidethebox Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Hey Westie....what's the difference between a dead cat in the road and a dead lawyer in the road?? (Waiting) I give up.
boyst Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) A friend wanted to hang out tonight and due to the lack of finding a bar that is open that won't happen. It'd be nice to grab a drink tonight; I usually work too much to go out enough to just enjoy some drinks. So, being alone is totally fine with me. But, there is nothing on TV. KD in CA Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Merry Christmas westie. Brighter days are ahead. But, there is nothing on TV. There's always the Yule Log.
BringBackFergy Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Answer: There's skid marks in front of the cat.
boyst Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Answer: There's skid marks in front of the cat. there are burnout marks in front of Tom(not the cat)
GG Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 There's always the Yule Log. Or the Raiders Chargers game?
