Rex - Cordy Glenn received Ed Block Courage award. #Bills

Rex Ryan says Cordy Glenn received Ed Block Courage Award. Says it's a high honor, and that he's overcome a lot with his kidney. #Bills

To my knowledge, that's the first time that the mystery of Cordy's illness from last year was unveiled.

Cordy Glenn said he had his kidney removed ahead of last season

Cordy has to be #1 priority this offseason. He is one of the better left tackles in the NFL, and his skills are underappreciated by some. Congratulations on receiving the Ed Block Courage Award Cordy!

Think Rex was supposed to say that? First I had heard it too. You'd think it would come from Cordy after all this.

Really? I had dibs on Jason LaCanforta or Schefter.

I recalled last year somebody called out a kidney problem, but was shouted down

Could be previously reported but just the first I recall. Seemed odd if this is how it broke though.

More power to Cordy for working through the health issue though.

I thought rumors of kidney issues were floating but never addressed or confirmed by the staff or media. Maybe I'm crazy.

That might explain some of his shaky play last season and even some early this season. Would like to see him match up better against Chandler Jones but he's definitely the best option at LT going forward. Get him re-signed.

They were and Marrone was very coy about it.

That thread should be a must read for everyone on this board who jumps to conclusions when they disagree with apparent inside info.

This! Wow, people were burning emoulds. He was spot on.

Yep. People were absolutely crucifying him. An emoulds apology thread is in order.

We see this all the time, people getting killed for unsubstantiated, but correct, claims. People look at post numbers and join dates as if they are some barometer of true. But nothing changes. Keeps happening every year.
