That's been a trend in many of the primaries. How many Bernie and Trump supporters will stay home in the general? Yes I'm saying Trump is not the nominee. He'll be short at the convention and won't have the support of the party.
Nanker
One thing. If there is dirt on Cruz that comes out, I think it won't sleaze him. Trump has shown the way to punch back at the media. This is a different America than when Gary Hart was having a fling on "Monkey Business". And who's going to throw bimbos in his face... Hillary? Hillarious! Bill probably had more trim in the White House than Cruz has had since High School. All he has to say is, I knew Ted Kennedy. He was no friend of mine. I am no Ted Kennedy. I have not slept with 1,000 women... yet.
Observer
Nearly 100,000 more people people voted in the GOP primary in Wisconsin than in the Democratic primary: 1,101,046 Rs; 1,005,320 Ds . 180,000 people registered Republican in PA since January. The Republicans should not read that as people flocking to their cause. Most just want a say in the Donald getting the nomination. Even a lot of Independents switched to cast a vote against Trump (and many Dems switched for their own reasons). I should have done it but never thought to. Kind of pissed at myself. I'd have happily cast a vote for Kasich over Trump. My presumed delegate says he'll vote for who the voters select but only on the first ballot. After that, he's following his conscience, ie, not Trump.

B-Man
People who parrot the Left's narrative that Ted Cruz is too polarizing to win a general election................. maybe haven't heard of Hillary Clinton? B-Man
BREAKING – Cruz Plans To Steal California by Having Trump Fail to Prep Groundgame (#Sarcasm) BOOM EXCLUSIVE WOW BOMBSHELL OUTRAGEOUS CHEATING STEALING!!!.............. Donald Trump inexplicably waited until YESTERDAY to name a State Political Director in California. The California primary on June 7 could determine whether Trump reaches the magic 1237 majority delegate number prior to the July convention. By all reports, Cruz is far ahead in the ground game in California, which awards delegates not only on the statewide vote but also by congressional district. Even if Trump wins the state, he may underperform in enough congressional districts due to Cruz’s superior campaign preparation that Trump is stopped short. Or he may fail to file delegate slates in all districts. Erick Erickson reports: (more…) Alan Dershowitz on Ted Cruz: Challenged me in class from Day One Noted liberal Harvard Law School professor (retired) Alan Dershowitz was on the Kelly File last night. “He came into my class, literally his first day in law school with his right hand up – not his left hand, his right hand,” Dershowitz said Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File.” Cruz challenged his professor on everything, which made his job easier, Dershowitz said. “I was against the death penalty, he’s in favor. I was in favor of the exclusionary rule, he’s against it,” he said. “And he made such brilliant arguments that I never had to play the devil’s advocate.” Cruz “was one of the best students I ever had,” Dershowitz said. Many of his liberal friends criticize him for praising the firebrand conservative, Dershowitz said, but he argues, “I have to tell the truth about my students, even if I disagree with their views – even if I’m not gonna vote for him. I’m not going to change history and pretend that this brilliant student was anything else.”

I've also heard in several places that his problem is that he's simply one of the most thoroughly unlikable people on the planet, who manages to alienate damn near everybody he comes into personal contact with. I mean...the guy's alienated the Senate. Everybody. The entire Senate. As far as I can tell, Cruz is literally less popular than anthrax with senators and their staff who used to work in the Hart Senate Office Building. (I had one former staffer tell me "Well...at least you can treat anthrax...") "Yeah, I was on a two-week course of cipro, because I was exposed to a bioterrorism attack. Still better than talking to Cruz." That is an epic level of personal repulsiveness. It's actually impressive in a sense.

The guy hates modernity Trump is worse. Cruz is predictable, and a constitutionalist, so he has constraints on his behavior. Trump is unpredictable, and an unbound authoritarian. Overall...having to choose between the two, I'll pick the guy who will enforce the First Amendment, over the guy who wants to use executive power to muzzle the press because they're mean to him.
