boyst
There is a lot more to this than what is presented. They installed one in my county many years ago. Said it was going to add 100+ jobs and they needed specific land. They took land that was perfect for agriculture, went way over budget and got incentives beyond belief to install the facility which employs 3 full time employees and a handful of techs which come in only to service the machines once in a while; there is not much upkeep. It's been a laughing stock here in the county, it takes a lot of land and does very little to add to the community - the ends do not justify the means. unbillievable
California’s new solar power plant is actually a death ray The plant, which uses some 350,000 garage-door-sized mirrors to focus sunlight on three boiler towers, also acts as a death ray, instantly igniting and killing any wildlife that happen to fly through the intense beam of light.
