TPS Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Not just for his play, there seems to be a big hole in leadership out there.
Beef Jerky Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It sucks b.c Kyle probably won't be himself anymore. The Bills will need his replacement.
moshermw Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Euex Pee is 100 % correct - no one should be able to run it down our throats for the go ahead two scores. Kyle would have none of that.
BADOLBILZ Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It sucks b.c Kyle probably won't be himself anymore. The Bills will need his replacement. If they are going to be asking their DL to dance cheek to cheek with opposing OL again next season then they might as well cut him loose and save the cap room. He is a penetrator. The few times in his career when he has sucked is when he has been asked to hold up blockers. He can't do it. People whine about the injuries on this team but asking guys who normally run to the ball to wrestle guys that outweigh them by 50-70 pounds all day is going to lead to fatigue and injury. Of the trio of Mario, Kyle and Dareus only Dareus is really up to that task and even that is a waste of his talent and playmaking ability. Nose tackles are dirt cheap nowadays so it's amazing how overpaid Dareus is going to be.
RussellDopeland Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 The defense misses Jim Schwartz even more.
jumbalaya Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 as far as williams's go, we miss aaron as much as kyle but we really we miss mario. Too bad Mario can only make one play per game.
TPS Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 The defense misses Jim Schwartz even more. Yep. I don't think RR is going anywhere, so they will need to do a quick transformation of the front 7. They need 2 more DL that mesh with RR's scheme, as Badol essentially suggests. On the bright side, it's looking a like a very good draft for DL....ugh!
BADOLBILZ Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 The defense misses Jim Schwartz even more. Schwartz simple attack was a great fit for the talent. The scheme only works if the talent on the DL is very good but no doubt in my mind that this would have been an excellent defense again under Schwartz. The narrative that it is just tough to play good defense for a lot of years in a row doesn't take into account that this D returned pretty much intact and they hadn't been worn down by years of long playoff runs etc.. No excuse for this defense dropping off a cliff for most of this season and limping home as a 20th ranked unit, which is where they are headed.
