Saxum Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 http://www.reuters.com/article/us-france-priest-trial-idUSKBN0TK4AA20151201 A Catholic priest will be sent to court after admitting he stole more than 700,000 euros ($741,000) collected from churchgoers and buyers of holy candles over a quarter of a century, the French public prosecutor's office said on Tuesday. He seemingly spent little of the money. Public prosecutor Karline Bouisset said the authorities had frozen holdings of 656,000 euros on his bank account. I am pretty sure when I was ordained that stealing was a sin.
KD in CA Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 That's nothing. The priest near us stole over $1MM and spent it on travel for himself and his boyfriend, expensive dinners, hairdos, fancy clothes, watches and a condo in Miami Beach.
