NOVABillsFan Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Whats SOP? CBF Standard Operating Procedure
eball Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I'm actually surprised Vic didn't pen an article about how Matt Cassel orchestrated a thrilling Cowboys' victory last night.
Peter Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 @viccarucci: According to a team source, #Bills won't, per SOP, have any discussions about the future of GM Doug Whaley "during the season." Weird tweet - isn't it normal to make these decisions in the offseason? Needless pot stirring by Vic? I mean - was anyone thinking about this while preparing for the Eagles game? Vic seems to be doing more and more of that since he returned to Buffalo. It seems rather gratuitous to me. I also noticed that Tyler made some comments that surprised me. I wonder if the News management has asked these guys to stir the pot more like some of their colleagues . . . .
HT02 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 anyone besides us on this board? HA i think we saw a few differences in opinion between Rex and Whaley. From an outsides perspective it appeared as if Whaley attempted to flex his muscle once or twice with the EJ vs Cassel situation. Interesting to see if there is any fall out over this or any other moves. I think you are on the right track here. Whaley and his man crush on EJ might cost him his job.

They must feel compelled compete with the modern era of click bait journalism that's been popularized by ESPN and picked up by every other Sports News outfit.

I assume Vic called up his #source (the one who doesn't like Whaley and gave the "rogue" comment about Fred and the impact on M&T's ad campaign) and asked if they heard anything about an extension for Whaley. That was the answer, probably. May have been inspired over the media outrage in SD over Telesco's multi-year extension that happened over the summer and was never announced by the team.
Chandler#81 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 S***head in Orchard Park HA! I was gonna help the young lad out, but your response was perfect!

K D Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Pegula's didn't like the way he handled Fred. Would like to hire a football guru like a Parcells type who would then bring his own GM. Not sure if Polian is still their guy or what
26CornerBlitz Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I think you are on the right track here. Whaley and his man crush on EJ might cost him his job. Oh please! Not this Cassel nonsense again. He'll lose his job for getting an upgraded draft choice for the putrid Matt Cassel? You gotta be kidding me!

Weird tweet - isn't it normal to make these decisions in the offseason? Needless pot stirring by Vic? I mean - was anyone thinking about this while preparing for the Eagles game? Whaley still hasn't signed an extension, and my guess is that Vic asked OBD what the status is, and they told him they won't discuss it during the season. There's four games left in the regular season, it's a valid question to ask by a reporter, especially in light of Whaley's comments today that he's been in touch with Richie's and Glenn's agents for an extension.

Not sure if Polian is still their guy or what Pure speculation here. It made perfect sense with the emergence of Karlos.
