@viccarucci: According to a team source, #Bills won't, per SOP, have any discussions about the future of GM Doug Whaley "during the season."

Weird tweet - isn't it normal to make these decisions in the offseason? Needless pot stirring by Vic? I mean - was anyone thinking about this while preparing for the Eagles game?

It's normal to evaluate through the offseason and make moves right after the offseason. That way the new guy has all year to prepare.

anyone besides us on this board? HA

i think we saw a few differences in opinion between Rex and Whaley. From an outsides perspective it appeared as if Whaley attempted to flex his muscle once or twice with the EJ vs Cassel situation. Interesting to see if there is any fall out over this or any other moves.

I mean, that made a HUGE decision today to release Mulligan :w00t:

I think canning Whaley would be a step in the wrong direction at this point. I can't see giving Rex any more power until he learns how to manage a game better and pay attention to the detail of some of the fine points that we've been suffering a death by a thousand cuts this year.

Right - I took it to mean they wouldn't be making a decision now, or extending him now. When is his contract up?

Agreed, the irony is that I think that Whaley is a lot better at his job than Rex is at his.

There is always the "hands team" outrage and if that doesn't get you worked up, "Mario in coverage" is still going strong.

So true, maybe we can talk about the ST penalty that cost a big return?

I am still laughing over the Texans ST penalties. How many times did they get called for ineligible man downfield on the kicking team? FOUR?
