Nervous Guy Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 and for those that are saying, "he's a football player", do you ever see Brady or Manning out there as a DB? No but I saw Brady as a WR on Sunday...OMG he could've gotten hurt!
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 The problem is simple, the coaching staff just isn't nearly as smart as you are about these things. it was a bad decision. on top of lots of questionable decisions from the coaching staff this year.
CowgirlsFan Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Even worse... I think he was on the field the play before.
YoloinOhio Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 OH MY GOD, THEY USED A FOOTBALL PLAYER DURING A FOOTBALL GAME.yeah I am struggling to find the outrage on this one but omg we must bash REX for something
TakeYouToTasker Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 its a 9 point game with 3 seconds left. and sammie is on the field. there is no way even with completed TD pass that the Texans can win. Why risk injury to your best offensive player? this was absolutely hideous. put felton out there, or gragg, or mulligan. but sammie? nothing came of it thankfully. but that was a horrendous decision. if its the playoffs or game to get in the playoffs, i understand. you go all in. but it was nowhere near the case here. Because it's a very specific hands team unit that practices that play, and is employed in that situation. The situation arose in game, so that team was put on the field.
Jobu Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Sweet mother of god, how long until I see a thread bitching about the color of shoe laces we are wearing?
Tsaikotic Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 No but I saw Brady as a WR on Sunday...OMG he could've gotten hurt! +1
eball Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Umm, guys, I don't think teams have a "we're up by more than 8" hands team and a "we're up by less than 8" hands team. It's just the hands team. Seriously, the odds of a WR being injured because he's playing back as a DB in that situation are pretty freaking slim. And good for Marcus Easley getting his first INT!
KD in CA Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 OH MY GOD, THEY USED A FOOTBALL PLAYER DURING A FOOTBALL GAME.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 In a hail mary situation ball skills trump coverage & tackling skills. The game wasn't on the line, but Rex needed to keep the points down to pad his #1 Defense's stats.
BuffaloBill Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Experience. So he knows what to do when he's out there in a spot where it actually matters. Don't mess up a thread with logic...
truth on hold Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 He wanted to be first player in NFL history to catch a TD pass from both his team's QB and the opposing team's. All about records man
Malazan Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Is this seriously a topic? Bills won so people have to twist themselves into knots?
WotAGuy Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Weren't Gilmore and Brooks both injured at that time? Also, who better to go for a jump ball without causing interference (I'm lookin at you McLovin) than a WR?
