They still fought - and fought well - for their adopted country that interred their families in concentration camps (and yes, that is what places like Manzanar were.) Good men, all. And while I hate the political circus surrounding the latter awards to the Nisei, the awards are richly deserved nonetheless.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 My wife's grandfather was born in Italy and his greatest accomplishment was a US solider in Italy during WWII. He had absolutely no issues joining and serving alongside everybody else in Italy... RIP Goerge Sakato...
