Marv's Neighbor
Everybody has their fav's, but if you go there during the winter take something warm. It can get unbelievably cold at night, especially for the shorts & flip-flops crowd..
shrader
My wife got pulled up on stage at the start of the Penn and Teller show last night. That was so cool. Teller, who never speaks as a part of the act actually talked to me when they were selecting her for the bit. We now have a video of the whole thing saved on her phone which was a part of the whole trick.

plenzmd1
So, just a heads up. Seems quite a few of the strip hotel groups have moved to paying 6/5 instead of 3/2 on blackjack. But most still have a pit that is 3/2, yes only one put. Search it out.. Was not a happy boy last night first time I hit it.....

They selected her BEFORE the show? ;-) ;-) I know, I know too good to be true, even Penn & Teller cans it. :-( Heading to Vegas for a 3 day bachelor party on 3/10. I can't possibly imagine a club being good enough to pay a thousand bucks for a bottle of vodka or champagne.

It's not completely random though, if you want to put it that way. They never said it but they were looking for a specific type of phone.

Random thoughts 1) damn, Price for everything is just out of control. I know I am old, but really starting to miss the Vegas of old. 2) guess as a follow on, the restaurants of the star chefs not even close to worth the prices they charge. 3) was not all that high on the Cosmoploitan. Room was nice, but like the common areas of the Aria way better. 4) cabs/ cabbies in Vegas are idiots. Way over priced , ride share starting to hit them, so they try to make your route longer, and want to charge $3 for credit card. Ride share prices to from airport, golf course etc less than 50% of a cab. Idiots. 5) Las Vegas National is 10 minutes from strip, cheap, easy to get on and in great condition. So good to play golf when in Vegas. Edited February 28, 2016 by plenzmd1

Really not that much if they are splitting the cost you... What's a grand x10 bottles between 10 people... Sure 10 grand, but not paying the whole 10k. Its all how people want to dispose of their disposable income.

So good to play golf when in Vegas. Sure... Just a family ski trip to SanFran and drive to Squaw (seems low key enough. Fly in, rent a Jeep and drive) for a few weeks was huge... But that is what us four decided to to do and drop dough on... Fuel in The Bay Area was still over $3 bucks a gallon when here it was down to $1.29! Half? Really? But no big deal, we were dropping almost $5 a gallon on my gas hog vehicles a few years ago...What's the big deal @ 3 & something? Tourism will always bring in the big dough. I know we are getting old, but your investments should start maturing and making things easier and free up more disposable money... Hence, why I guess NICE tourist destinations and activity are up in price. You can still find deals though... Two weeks ago in South Beach we did on the cheap... But... STILL very easy to drop the serious coin!!! No, at the very start of the show they had everyone hold up their cell phones and then they picked her. It's not completely random though, if you want to put it that way. They never said it but they were looking for a specific type of phone. Cool... That is cool. I suppose they have to plan and have order... Thanks for explaining... I would have never figured out how they run those things. I do love Penn & Teller! Phone had to be part of trick working... Did they give secret away? ;-) I would love to know!!!

Do what makes you happy, let nobody be the judge yet always help the next! "I offer thanks to those before me That's all I've got to say 'Cause maybe you squandered big bucks in your lifetime Now I have to pay But then again it feels like some sort of inspiration To let the next life off the hook But she'll say, "Look what I had to overcome from my last life I think, I'll write a book""

For the trick, they were taping a video on the phone that would give us a little souvenir that shows how the trick was done. Essentially, they swapped out the phone at some point, which is why they were looking for a specific phone. Look up cellfish on YouTube. A ton of people have posted their videos. I know I am a bag of questions! :-) iPhone. Teller was telling us to remove the case and if we couldn't get it, he'd have to move on. That didn't make much sense to me at first, but now it does with the phone swap. With all the different colors they have on iPhones now though, I wonder if the dummy phone was even the same color. I don't have the eye for that kind of stuff. Edited February 29, 2016 by shrader

Now it's a shopping economy because the younger crowds don't casino gamble like past generations, they are there for the party. I miss the days when the casinos were full of fools that would come in and drop their few grand on slot machines and tables to subsidize the party.
