belicheck isn't one to spend much time at midfield post game with the opposing coach, but yesterday there was a prolonged embrace and discussion, thought it was weird, didn't realize they were friends.

Belichick, Chip and Urban Meyer. They spend weeks together in the offseason studying each other's systems to get new ideas.

that isn't a horrible braintrust...

#Bills HC Rex Ryan: Hopefully we get Karlos back this week. He's a possibility for this week.

#Bills HC Rex Ryan says that Nigel Bradham's injury has been an 8-week injury for a hockey player, but for him, two.

@ChrisBrownBills

Rex - hoping to get Karlos back this week. Not sure about Miller. Hopeful for Henderson. Bradham was called doubtful. #Bills

@salmaiorana

Ryan thinks Henderson, Karlos Williams will be able to play against Eagles. Bradham seems doubtful, John Miller in same category

@buffalobills

Rex hints he'll name LeSean McCoy a captain against the Eagles. (Laughs) "Now why would I do that?!"

Rex - hints that rumors are true that his brother Rob Ryan is in town. #Bills

@TyDunne

The running highlights from Rex Ryan's presser just now here. On Gilmore, McCoy, Tyrod. ... http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/12/07/rex-ryan-on-gilmores-health-tyrod-taylor-the-run-game/

Hopefully that's the only reason he's in town but I doubt it.

It's entirely possible that Rob Ryan might be extremely helpful in one facet of the defense, without having to be responsible for the entire unit. Despite the underwhelming performance of his defense in New Orleans (they have sure looked great since he left, right?) there's a whole lot of defensive knowledge between those ears.

He could also serve as an "outside" consultant reviewing things without having a vested interest in the outcome, providing a different but respected perspective.

Is there?

Look at his performances as defensive coordinator the past couple years....Awful.

32nd this year. 31st last year.

Perhaps he's a victim of the Peter Principle.

Philly and Washington aren't going to be pushovers by any means. These games are as "do or die" for their playoff hopes as they are for ours. In both cases the Bills are the better team though, so we'll just have to see if they're for real about keeping their focus and staying aggressive or if it's just talk.

Both opponents are fighting for the NFCE division crown.

But both opponents also have losing records.

If we don't beat both these two teams, we don't deserve a playoff berth.

So are we out Gilmore, Brooks, A Williams, K Williams, and Bradham?

If we give up less than 30 points, I'll be surprised at this point, Jesus.

To Sam Bradford and the Beagles? Can't see it. shakeshead.gif
