Why does everyone hate on McElvin?

CB'S get beat. Get over it. It happens. Who else would you want out there? He is adequate and not very expensive. Three coaching staffs feel the same way. They know better than us.

imo it comes down to the dropoff between him and Gilmore (has had a pro bowl year IMO), plus people who only watch the Bills are used to Gilmore/Darby and don't realize what the majority of CBs in the NFL look like. They look like Leo, or worse. CB play in the NFL is not good on the whole, they are hard to hit on in the draft and it's a tough position to play well anymore with the rules that are in place. bills fans were lucky to have our two guys for most of the year - watch just about any other game and it's a different story. Because Leo has been a joke since his Fumble against the Pats.

How long does a team keep the stank? In the Bills case, Years and Years obviously!

can't fault him for where he was picked. is about the best one can say about him. And aside from a single season. he has been more of a liability than an asset. Unless they get another Darby quality steal in the draft. I bet McLovn is still here. Part of the stench of losing from a differant era.

How many years has he been here?? 6 or 7, know he's on his 2nd contract. He had one good year at CB, think it was the year his contract was up. He's made a number of bone headed moves over the years, high draft pick and never lived up to it.

It's nice to have excellent cornerback play as the Bills do but the best defense in football is a good pass rush.

Rex and his beloved max-coverage approach requires too much talent at DB and and by not hitting QB's it makes them more effective later in games.

An Injury Proned CB who needs to learn how to tackle is not worth $10mil/year.

Lets save cap and let him walk...Unless its at a deep discount.

He has had only one complete season since coming into this league.

Imo

Gilmore has played in 53 of 64 games, and is one of the better cover corners in the league.

He's worth the money.
