jahnyc Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Just a feeling, but why did Ron Edwards agree to extend his contract for one year? One reason that would make sense is if TD promised Edward that he would be the starter in '05. Why else would you put off free agency except to have the opportunity to start and show why you deserve big money after you contract expires? Add in that we drafted Anderson last year and we have Bannon, seems to suggest to me that TD has no intention of re-signing Pat Williams. I hope I am wrong.
scribo Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I think you're both wrong. Pat isn't going anywhere.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 If TD lets Pat walk, he better have another option in FA waiting for us. I dont see why you want to mess with a good thing...I know our Defense rotates DTs often, but Phat Pat is a big reason for our recent defensive dominance.
34-78-83 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 PW will be a Bill! JJ on the other hand, is the big question mark.....
Tux of Borg Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Edwards played well that game where they sat Adams. I have no idea if they plan on keeping pat or not.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 It will all depend on PW's asking price. Anything more than what he's making now, and he's gone.
Rico Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 PW is going nowhere. You don't let players who consistently perform & are willing to cut a hometown deal leave.

Maybe TD wants to see where the market is?
