Garcia should be running away with that while statue and stock boy pick up the scraps.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Because Bledsoe started all of the games last season, thats my guess. You figure that 95% of the nation doesnt get Bills games regularly, so clearly they would not have been able to view Bledsoe's inept performances over the last 3 years.
Ramius Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Bledsoe wins, because like most people that havent watched the games, all they see is we went 9 and 7, and he was the QB during the 6-game win streak... They see the Sea win, but dont see the 3 picks...
Gavin in Va Beach Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Not that surprising, all 3 of those QB's screw the pooch. It's just that at least Bledsoe brought the pooch some flowers...
Buftex Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Well, need I remind you, that is pretty much the case with any player who does not play with your team...one person can only watch so many football games in one week...if anyone had actually watched Kurt Warner play, they would realize that he is truly washed up!
stevestojan Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 His name. He was a 1st overall pick. He played well in NE. No one has seen every one of his games the last 3 year (well, 2 and a half years - the frist 8 games were good) except for us Bills fans.
Ennjay Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Was Warner ever actually released? I thought he signed a two-year contract. I assume he'll be a 2/22 cut like Bledsoe and Garcia. Does anyone know for sure? (Like it even matters . . .)

You had to ask? Because EVERYONE who doesn't think Bledsoe sucks is either STOOPID or REALLY STOOPID about football. DUH!
VABills Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Or maybe all the Bills fans here are a bunch of spiteful bastard towards Drew and don't realize that while he wasn't Manning he also wasn't a scrub.

At that time, an ever larger majority of us Bills fans were ecstatic while Patriots were saying 'good riddance'. The difference is that the Pats had seen Brady play and had confidence in their future with him. All we have, on the other hand, is a hope and prayer with JPL. I am happy DB will not be our starter, but would have felt better having him around as a backup. Let us hope we get some insurance in the way of a new #2. Shane should be a #3.
Mickey Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Bledsoe wins, because like most people that havent watched the games, all they see is we went 9 and 7, and he was the QB during the 6-game win streak... BillsNYC Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 3 years ago we thought Bledsoe was awesome, New England knew better. Now we do.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 3 years ago we thought Bledsoe was awesome, New England knew better. Now we do. 242210 Does that mean we get to win the next 3 out of 4 SBs? Groovy!

Maybe they see that we were 3-13 without him and 9-7 with him and concluded that he was one of the reasons for the improvement as opposed to what the fans here see, that Bledsoe didn't make us 9-7, he prevented us from being 13-3 which, given how super we were before him is the only logical conclusion that can be drawn.
Mickey Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 3 years ago we thought Bledsoe was awesome, New England knew better. Now we do. 242210 They didn't know better Bill. BB had Drew as his starter, only injury knocked him out and then, given how well Brady played, it was a no brainer to keep him. BB never concluded that DB stunk or that he couldn't win with him. All he did was recognize his good fortune in having Brady who turned out, to everyone's surprise including BB, to be the next Montana. There seems to be a myth on this board that NE dumped DB because they decided he was awful, that isn't what happened. They were forced to start Brady because of an injury and his performance, not any concerns about Drew, made the decision to keep one and not the other an easy one. If BB was so brilliant and DB so bad, Brady would have been starting that year instead of sitting on the bench waiting to get a lucky break. Brady starting wasn't a considered decision, it was the product of the fortunes of war.

When Brady started winning, most people wanted Brady to stay in there. Also, why would Belichek trade Bledsoe to a division rival if he thought he was still a solid player?
