IDBillzFan
It's interesting that a thread about Trump turns into an Obama and Hillary bashing party from the right. Nobody wants to support this GOP front-runner? I see a lot of bitching with no solutions, as per usual. We equally bash Trump, or aren't you paying attention? He's as big a dumbass as Obama AND Hillary, and believe me, that is no small feat. Edited December 4, 2015 by LABillzFan

Gene Frenkle
We equally bash Trump, or aren't you paying attention? He's as big a dumbass as Obama AND Hillary, and believe me, that is no small feat. And yet the right (you) is poised to make him the nominee. I anticipate your head exploding soon. Could it be that there's already a thread dedicated to all things Trump? I like to think of this as the "Trump as a Serious GOP Candidate" thread, as opposed to the other "Hey Look! Donald Trump is Running for President, LMAO!" thread(s).

He peaks out at 30%, with the highest negative rating across all candidates. His nomination is far from assured.
blzrul
If Trump is the nominee the GOP may as well pack it in. Too bad they don't have anything but a boatload of nitwits and nutjobs running, even with Jindall and Walker dropping out.
section122
Insurance was cheaper before Obamacare. Yes it was but Obamacare isn't universal health care. Universal health care would remove the middle man that saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. If you sold a product and the government said everyone had to buy your product, would you raise or lower prices? That is the only reason health care costs skyrocketed - because they could. The idea that people'e health and welfare is a source of profit for others is the worst part of capitalism.
DC Tom
It's interesting that a thread about Trump turns into an Obama and Hillary bashing party from the right. Nobody wants to support this GOP front-runner? I see a lot of bitching with no solutions, as per usual. There's maybe three posters here that think Trump isn't a joke. And those three posters were considered jokes before Trump announced he was running. Yes it was but Obamacare isn't universal health care. Universal health care would remove the middle man that saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. The idea that people'e health and welfare is a source of profit for others is the worst part of capitalism. The idea that people's health and welfare should be provided by others as a free service is the worst part of socialism. And that's not why prices went up. The insurance markets don't work that way. They're highly regulated, and rates have to be reviewed and approved by the states annually. Insurance companies can't just say "We're charging X...because we can!" The over-regulation is probably one of the biggest sources of !@#$ed-upness in the health care system, since it puts more medical responsibility into the hands of bean counters and badly interferes with the doctor-patient relationship. Too bad they don't have anything but a boatload of nitwits and nutjobs running, even with Jindall and Walker dropping out. That is because the GOP is so out of touch. They can't continue to sell the idea that the poor people are these evil scammers trying to separate everyone from their dollar's when none of us have any dollar's to be separated from. People that used to be middle class now require assistance just to make ends meet. Very few rich old white guys can relate to anyone under 40. Add in the idea that so much of the GOP is hate based and fear mongering even many conservatives are embarrassed with that their party has become much the same as myself as a democrat and many others I know. There are blind supporters of each party and then the rest of us in the middle wondering what the f*ck is going on. The idea that people's health and welfare should be provided by others as a free service is the worst part of socialism. And that's not why prices went up. The insurance markets don't work that way. I disagree to me there are many worse parts of socialism. I think government should stay out of most industry but healthcare is not one of them. I stand by my assertion that they charge what they do because there is no reason not to. Medical responsibility being in the hands of bean counters even lends itself to that idea. However I am not against being wrong so help me out. Why would obamacare drive the prices up so drastically? Is it possible that the rise in cost is tied into the aging baby boomer population which is making insurances have to pay out more? Therefore to keep their margins the same they raise rates? I'm genuinely curious and not trying to be a dick here.

birdog1960
Grade inflation was a problem at Occidental when Barry was there and Columbia had lowered standards for transfers. As for what Barry claims his GPA was, I believe that about as much as I believe his "if you like your doctor..." line. And why didn't he enter Harvard immediately after graduating from Columbia? Instead he spent 5 years, likely studying his ass off, as community organizer. as someone that necessarily would have done at least 10 years of post high school education, do you even know what graduating magna cum laude implies? As I've said before, the best thing the right could do is let Hillary win. Barry has FUBAR'ed so many things in so many places and on so many levels, that whomever follows him is equally FUBAR'ed and will be blamed for all of his incompetence. I would rather that be Hillary and put a stake in the heart of socialist progressives once and for all. I'd also like her to win because I'm hoping she gives more speeches in the south. It never gets old listening to her say moronic crap like "I ain't in no ways tarred..." as someone that necessarily would have done at least 10 years of post high school education, do you even know what graduating magna cum laude implies? That people who create phrases like magna cum laude will think you're important? Save some lives. Heal the sick. Teach the poor. Feed the homeless. Foster abused kids. Shelter battered women. Then we can talk about great distinction. Otherwise, read your books, pat yourselves on the back and leave be the people who actually do things to get back to work, you condescending snotbag. At the time Barry attended Harvard, one in every 6 students graduated magna cum laude. And again, with 5 years (almost 2 times the length of law school) to study beforehand... Someone who likely never achieved academic distinction or performed any of the acts you cite Questioning the credentials of someone that actually has or the converse situation? Oh and being in the top 15percent of an already elite little pool is a pretty heft achievement. I ask again, is it something you've accomplished? blzrul
It is kinda funny that when George Bush was occupying the White House, his Yale and Harvard credentials were touted by the same people who would now have everyone believe that they're pretty worthless. Nyuk nyuk. Obama would wipe the floor with any of us. He's brilliant. Not as brilliant as William Jefferson Clinton, but pretty damn smart and a whole sight better qualified to be president than anyone in the GOP clown car. So far. There are plenty of smart Republicans but apparently they don't have the guts to stand up to their monied masters.
