DC Tom Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 If there's any upside to the next four years, it's that the satire is going to be awesome.
wnyguy Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 If there's any upside to the next four years, it's that the satire is going to be awesome. It's comedy gold is what it is.
Chef Jim Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 If there's any upside to the next four years, it's that the satire is going to be awesome. And I'm hoping we'll find out the conservatives have a sense of humor.
Prickly Pete Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) After watching Colbert and seeing the air literally fizzle out of the balloon, I'm wondering if the "Fake News" style of comedy might have been part of the problem, and that it may be done. I loved Jon Stewart when Bush was in office, but by Obama's second term it was just smug pandering. Trevor Noah is an obvious progressive shill, and annoyed me as much as Dennis Miller did (who was at least funny). Unwatchable. Edited November 11, 2016 by HoF Watkins
GG Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 And I'm hoping we'll find out the conservatives have a sense of humor. How can you not laugh at Trump?
Chef Jim Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 How can you not laugh at Trump? I laughed my ass off when I voted for him. I was going to go Johnson but I just wanted to piss off some liberals. Little did I know............
Cugalabanza Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I laughed my ass off when I voted for him. I was going to go Johnson but I just wanted to piss off some liberals. Little did I know............ Cue the Bee Gees song, "I started a joke, that started the whole world crying..."
Chef Jim Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Cue the Bee Gees song, "I started a joke, that started the whole world crying..." Noooooooooo!!
VABills Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 I laughed my ass off when I voted for him. I was going to go Johnson but I just wanted to piss off some liberals. Little did I know............ You live in California. Your vote was irrelevant to the final decision.
Chef Jim Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 You live in California. Your vote was irrelevant to the final decision. It absolutely was but I was saying that the only way we'd ever have a viable 3rd party was if they started getting votes. The Trump thing was an absolute last second thing.
B-Man Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Like the vast majority of Conservatives, I will be happy to laugh at Trump. But a quick reminder....................Trump is a Republican..........but he is no conservative...
Chef Jim Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Like the vast majority of Conservatives, I will be happy to laugh at Trump. But a quick reminder....................Trump is a Republican..........but he is no conservative... Good point.
keepthefaith Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Cue the Bee Gees song, "I started a joke, that started the whole world crying..." Well played.
IDBillzFan Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Like the vast majority of Conservatives, I will be happy to laugh at Trump. But a quick reminder....................Trump is a Republican..........but he is no conservative... Exactly. I'll be laughing up until the moment his true colors as a Democrat comes out.
unbillievable Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) Exactly. I'll be laughing up until the moment his true colors as a Democrat comes out. You mean yesterday? Who didn't know that the choices were between two Democrats? Edited November 11, 2016 by unbillievable
