unbillievable Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 How can someone this bad still be this close to winning the election?

B-Large Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 How can someone this bad still be this close to winning the election? Because the party line voters will hold their nose, and those on the fence take seriously what is at stake, i.e. SCOTUS. the lowest of the low general elections is the perfect Petri dish for a Hillary Clinton win... That's deflating to be kind.
Magox Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 “I’m out. I can no longer in good conscience endorse this person for president. It is some of the most abhorrent and offensive comments that you can possibly imagine.” -- Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, Utah.

Not a huge "I told you so" person, but during the primaries we pulled video from his tv show telling a contestant how he'd like to see her on her knees, and how his treatment of women would bite him. But no, we were told by everyone being conned. Noone cares about that stuff. It was just a TV show. If we're lucky, the calls by everyone for Trump to step down will work, and then Pence can take on Hillary.

With Pence, they'd at least have a shot. If Rubio or Kasich had won the nomination, they'd already be measuring the drapes. Such a golden opportunity for them to take on such an unlikable corrupt candidate, but rather than do that, they select the absolute worst piece of dog **** candidate they could have nominated.

"They" would be the overwhelmimg majority of GOP voters.... And check the rules on what happens if he drops out....doesnt just go to Pence

Hey... In 2007 Appalachian State played Michigan.
GG Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 "They" would be the overwhelmimg majority of GOP voters.... And check the rules on what happens if he drops out....doesnt just go to Pence No it wasn't. There were a lot of votes coming in from outside registered GOP base, including many self proclaimed Reagan Democrats and former Republicans. Such as yourself.
Magox Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 "They" would be the overwhelmimg majority of GOP voters.... I don't give a **** who the "overwhelming majority of GOP voters" are. Bottom line, they !@#$ed up.
ExiledInIllinois Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Just throwing that out there... Is it possible to step down this late in game? Ballots set in each state right... If it every happened... Say a candidate gets in a wreck and is on life support (not unlike Trump)... They would have to stay on ballot and running mate would assume the duties... What are laws on this?
jr1 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Robert Costa @costareports 14m14 minutes ago Trump finished call with this, as I pressed one more time: "I've never quit in my life... I can give you my word that I'm never leaving."
/dev/null Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Lol, well done, GOP. Not just the GOP. The Democrats put up a real champ of a candidate of their own. But jokes on all of us when she gets to be President
Gene Frenkle Posted October 8, 2016 Author Posted October 8, 2016 Not just the GOP. The Democrats put up a real champ of a candidate of their own. But jokes on all of us when she gets to be President Dems put up their usual type of candidate. GOP decided to turn it into a schitshow. They have almost literally handed the presidency to Hillary. Yet here you sit, blaming the party that simply stayed true to its nature. Four more years of finger pointing...
Magox Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 You know it's bad when your own VP cannot "defend" Trump.

Yet here you sit, blaming the party that simply stayed true to its nature. Four more years of finger pointing... No, she's far more dishonest and criminal than usual. We have two assholws running that I wouldn't trust to walk a dog, both of whom presume some sort of divine right to the office. This won't end well for anyone.

The party of corrupt politicians and centralized authoritarians nominated one of their own. And in four years you will sit here blaming the finger pointing while ignoring the results of having a corrupt central authoritarian in office
