Just Jack Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 it's catching fire... http://www.ktbs.com/story/30625690/exploding-hoverboard-blamed-for-destroying-lafitte-familys-home other report... The scary part? It doesn't matter where you buy one, it's probably made by the same factories in China.... http://www.buzzfeed.com/josephbernstein/how-to-make-millions-of-hoverboards-almost-overnight#.xjELBx84Wn It starts when a (typically) Western company, eager to cash in on a product made popular by the social internet, contracts a Chinese factory to make it. From here, the idea spreads throughout the elaborate social networks of Chinese electronics manufacturing until the item in question is being produced by hundreds and hundreds of competitors, who subcontract and sell components to each other, even as they all make the same thing.

MDH Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Why is it called a "hoverboard?" Apparently "hover" technology has been around since 3000 B.C, we just mistakenly called them "wheels."
