Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 So most of us are on board that linebacker and safety play has severely hamstrung this year's defense. But most people still want to believe it's the scheme to blame. Okay. Its the same guys that manned the fourth best D in the league last year and averaged over 3 sacks/game for 2 years. The only difference is coach and scheme so yeah.. There is clearly a mismatch between the new scheme and the personnel. Any other assertion is baseless

Half the defensive starters from last year have been out some or all of the season plus key rotational backups on the DL.This year they have or had been missing for all or most of the season who played all or most of last season: Leodis McKelvin Aaron Willliams D'norris Searcy Kyle Williams Brandon Spikes Jarius Wynn Ty Powell And yesterday - Mario Willliams Nigel Bradham Edited December 1, 2015 by YoloinOhio

ALF Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Belichick had the same reaction http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/30/patriots-cut-chris-harper-after-costly-muffed-punt/ Patriots coach Bill Belichick isn’t particularly tolerant of fumbling even among good players, and among marginal players, a fumble is an easy way to lose your job in New England. Harper found that out the hard way today. Edited December 1, 2015 by ALF
26CornerBlitz Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 @BuffaloBillsPR The @buffalobills have signed LB AJ Tarpley to the team’s practice squad.
VanCity Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 @BuffaloBillsPR The @buffalobills have signed LB AJ Tarpley to the team’s practice squad. Rejoice, the prodigal son/ one-game sack leader of the sad-sack defense with the HC/DC that outsmarts himself at every turn has returned.
BADOLBILZ Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 the same guys? Half the defensive starters from last year have been out some or all of the season plus key rotational backups on the DL. It is utter bullsh*t to blame the precipitous drop in performance of this D on an injury to a marginal NFL player like Ty Powell or losing Dolores Searcy in FA. Schwartz D put the playmaking responsibilities on the DL and away from LB's and safeties. If those LB's and safeties are being exposed as less than pro bowl talent this year there is only Rex to blame for changing the emphasis of the D. Rex sank this season to install his D and along the way he wore out his personnel and NOW apologists are using the injuries as an excuse.
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 The Bills have a history of hiring people that take what's working and ... well ... muck it up. Same tune, different vocalist.
Saxum Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Somebody had to take the fall. Rex should have been cut, but no no, can't do that. You can take the fall if you want someone to blame. Start a petition to blame you and offer to show up in game 16 and let people throw tomatoes at you to get the irrationality out.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 why would he be a star with the Pats? Did you see him play Sunday? Sarcasm gentleman
