Gronk injures knee

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after he suffered a knee injury. Can New England survive if Gronk is out for an extended period?

The Patriots might have dodged a worst-case scenario, however. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports initial tests on Gronkowski's knee rule out a serious injury, per source informed of the results.

I would still be concerned for him going forward, because he got hit right in the knee early in the game and the look on his face said that he was shaken by it. At least to me.

The guy has a long injury history and the only way to tackle him is to hit him low. Not a good combo.

@RapSheet

Sounds like #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) is unlikely to miss more than one game, I'm told. In fact, he may not even miss that.

Shoot, I was kind of hoping they had to amputate his leg.

I hope he is not hurt..he is prolly my favorite non-Bill in the league.

Classy guy- went to my kids middle school and high school- people have nothing but good things to say about him.

I hate his team affiliation, but there is no denying he is a top 5(?) player in the NFL today....

They will crush Houston and everyone else from here on out.

It's full "everyone and everything is against us" mode in NE*

Honestly it's better for them to have lost on primetime. Look at last year cs KC on mnf
