Kelly the Dog Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 If you read what he actually said he was saying that he himself didn't have the replays on the Jumbotron to make the decision. The guys in the booth had the TV replays. They didn't give him good information but he was taking responsibility. He didn't imply the guys upstairs didn't have the TV replays. He blew the game other ways though. This one is on Rex IMO, just not for the challenges.
White Linen Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) rex has no one to blame but his incompetent self He did that too. It's a pattern with him, he says it's ultimately my fault - right after he gets done explaining how it wasn't. Edited November 29, 2015 by Triple Threat
chris heff Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 So if this is true, why not call time out and tell the officials? Or just throw the flag.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Loss is squarely on disorganized and incompetent coaching. Anything else is an excuse.
bigK14094 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Rich Gannon, calling the game for CBS, was beside himself bei9ng critical of the Bills coaching staff for not getting the challenges correct. He has seen it done correctly elsewhere. the league has passed Rex by imho.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 @billsupdates Rex Ryan gives shoddy explanation of mismanagement of challenges that cost #Bills http://ow.ly/VeXD0
dezertbill Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) That was weak. It's almost impossible that Bills coaches in the booth couldn't get the TV replays. He's covering for incompetence the way he often does with players.I agree. If we could plainly see it why couldn't he? That's bs Loss is squarely on disorganized and incompetent coaching. Mr. WEO Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 So if this is true, why not call time out and tell the officials? Or just throw the flag. Tell them what?
racecitybills Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Hang on Girls. It is not Rex's job to officiate the game. It is the NFL's job through it's officials. They are a complete embarrassment. You cannot challenge every play they screw up. We will again see a letter or statement form the NFL acknowledging "errors" made in the game. Week after week. Rex and his staff did plenty to screw this game up. The refs were horrendous. again. again. again.

PlayoffsPlease Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 No team handles time out and challenge management as amateurishly as the Bills. This coaching staff and GM are doing their best to keep the team as a laughingstock.
Kelly the Dog Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Rex's statement should be an embarrassment to the whole Bills organization. Rex is Rex. People should understand what he does. To me, usually but not always, he is pretty clear what he is doing. In this particular case he is taking responsibility when it really wasn't his. He does that with players all the time. What he doesn't do, unfortunately, is take responsibility for his defense when it is his, which is what happened today.
Prickly Pete Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Rex Ryan is not very smart. I mean, where would you rank him among his peers, IQ wise? Bottom third.

Mr. WEO Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Rex digging himself a huge hole with repeated references to Chief's replays....... It sounds dumber with each reading/repeating..
Kelly the Dog Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Rex digging himself a huge hole with repeated references to Chief's replays....... It sounds dumber with each reading/repeating.. You can never take Rex at his word in press conferences. Sometimes it's easy to see what he is doing. Other times not so much. But rarely can you believe him. Sometimes he's deflecting blame. Sometimes he is protecting his players. Sometimes he is just lying so no one looks responsible even if they were.
