The key to Tyrod's success will be to let him run more. It is obvious that he does not possess the field vision or arm to be a premiere pocket passer. He is also too small to stay in the pocket and his footwork dictates that he wants to move around. He is constantly on his toes and does not set himself and step into his throws.

Last week was the perfect example, coming up short on the deep ball. He was dancing around and did not throw with his body, he mostly throws with his arm. This type of passer is better on the move. It's time to use TT's gifts. He is not a long-term answer and while we develop our QB of the future, TT can get us into the playoffs if we let him play his game and not force him into a system that limits his natural talents.

TT on the move with Karlos and Shady in the backfield, Sammy in motion and Clay in the seams can be quite effective. But you need to put the fear of TT running into the Defense to back them off. In New England we wasted too many opportunities running a game plan that exposes weaknesses more than it promotes strengths.

To win in KC, TT needs to run for 50+ yds and a TD, throw for 200+ and 2 TD's (Watkins/Clay) and have Shady/Karlos combine for 150+ and at least 1 TD.

If this happens Buffalo 31 KC 20 or Buffalo 28-20 or 20-17.

If this does not happen: KC 24-14 or KC 24-20

Running Tyrod would be fun to watch, until he's replaced by EJ due to injury. That would not be fun to watch. At all.

AKA Let Tyrod get Killed! He'll either make it happen from the pocket or he will fail.

There was a LOT of times in the patriots game that I thought had Tyrod called his own name on that option he had a chance for some plays

but he didnt do it

I think you will see Tyrod take it himself a couple of times in this game....but we are gonna rely on our running game a lot

Players are gonna need to help Tyrod out by fighting for balls when they are in the air

I dont see Alex Smith throwing a lot of picks...he just does not do that....we need to tackle well and get their offense off the field.....and move the chains

Well,,, yes, they will play to keep him in the pocket, he just needs to make the throws this allows. They won't over pursue, but when they do or when he has the running lane, he's now not taking it right away; he needs to decisive. If you are going , go. If not , find a target or throw it away. He seems somewhere in the middle now.. this is how he gets killed...

Disciplined defensive teams will not let TT run free by design. Sure he could evade a sack and make something happen with his legs but teams will try to contain him and will dare him to beat them with his arm.

I would like to see Roman scheme some things that allow TT to be more comfortable throwing over the middle of the field.....

True. The next step in Taylor's development as an established, bona-fide NFL quarterback, is to be effective in the pocket. Right now, he's too slow with his reads and his anticipation is not sharp yet. He holds onto the ball until the receiver is open, then he throws. He has to throw the ball sooner, anticipating where the receiver should be in the cut in his route. If he doesn't do this by next year, defenses will scheme for his slow reading, and he'll wind up being an also-ran QB in the NFL.

Nobody seems to get it

Roll Tyrod out on some plays early

NOW

Watch him.....he throws better from the pocket after that happens

Get Tyrod comfortable.....and he plays better from everywhere

I'm good with rolling out and taking advantage of his mobility. I'm less good with sending him to the IR. Ultimately, he has to know his limits. And a little luck is nice too!

yeah, lets get him killed faster !!!

We called a pass play to him after he got injured the first time. Yet other times seem to want him bubble wrapped. I can't say I've figured out their plans for him.

You and OBD have that in common, it appears.
