truth on hold Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I still think there's a decent chance if they win in week 17 against giants they will win the division.
eball Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I still think there's a decent chance if they win in week 17 against giants they will win the division. Â I guess that depends upon your definition of the word "decent" -- my choice of word would be "slim." Â Giants (5-5): @WAS, vs. NYJ, @MIA, vs. CAR, @MIN, vs. PHI -- their next three games all very winnable before facing the Panthers. Â Philly (4-7): @NE, vs. BUF, vs. ARI, vs. WAS, @NYG -- very likely to lose at least two of the next three, so they'll already be a 9-10 loss team with two to play. It's extremely unlikely 7-9 wins that division, and 6-10 definitely won't get it done. Â Unless the Giants completely implode (which shouldn't happen given veteran leadership) the NFC East should really be considered theirs for taking. Washington, strangely enough, is the team that could make things interesting. Philly is dead (as is Dallas).
GunnerBill Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I still think there's a decent chance if they win in week 17 against giants they will win the division. Â Nope. Washington are the only team with a shot to challenge the Giants.
truth on hold Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) No basis to assume anything positive about how a .500 team like giants fares the rest of the way (or bills for that matter). Even if giants win Sunday, all eagles would have to do is make up one game on them in weeks 13-16, and then win week 17 to take the division since theyd end up sweeping them. I wish we were in same position in our division Edited November 28, 2015 by JTSP
Doc Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 The Eagles are done. They're not challenging for anything.

CardinalScotts Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 this is impossible Schopp said he was a genius ! He doesn't punt on 4th and 1 from the 45 - THAT is the mark of a great coach
truth on hold Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Â Only problem is the Giants are a mediocre team but the Eagles are a terrible one. They are done. Fork them and fork Chip. Didn't they have a winning record with Bradford? Isn't he coming back ?
TheFunPolice Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I just hope Chip doesn't pull a Bobby Petrino and quit before the Bills can destroy a crestfallen team that has quit on its coach.

GunnerBill Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Didn't they have a winning record with Bradford? Isn't he coming back ? Â No they were .500. The Monday night win against the Giants was the only time they have really played well. The team definitely look on Thursday like it had quit on Chip.

The team definitely look on Thursday like it had quit on Chip. So they had the same won loss percentage but beat giants head to head (actually whipped them pretty good 27-7). Btw this is more about doubts about giants and overall weakness of that division, than defending eagles as a good team, when clearly they're not. I'm just pointing out all these "they're done" and "chip's outta there" conclusions are premature. Theyre still alive. It's certainly possible a team like giants goes on an extended losing streak too. Edited November 28, 2015 by JTSP
26CornerBlitz Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 @RapSheet Talked #Eagles coach Chip Kelly post-loss. I'm told he was despondent, feeling the heat, intent on fixing his team. Considering all options
26CornerBlitz Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 @AroundTheNFL Eagles coach Chip Kelly still drawing interest from USC, @RapSheet reports http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000589671/article/usc-still-maintains-interest-in-eagles-coach-chip-kelly

TheFunPolice Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Chip.. you owe it to yourself to see this thing through until at least after the Bills game!
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 There are serious pitchforks and torches in philthadelphia. I can't wait for the full implosion.
TheFunPolice Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 how much would McCoy love to drive the dagger through his heart with a huge game in Philly?
