Pete
Give me onion rings over fries. And a potato chip is better than 98% of the fries out there. Fresh cut french fries fried in duck fat are one of the rare exceptions.
Saxum
Fresh cut french fries fried in duck fat cut steak potato fry style is much better than what I had in England; they fried the chips in lard and served them with so much oil that when they cooled off you could see the lard congealed on chips. Buffalo Barbarian
http://www.dailyedge.ie/ketchup-on-chips-2464751-Nov2015/ I put them on the end of a pile of fries so some are covered and most are not and then dip the rest of the fires in it, that way it doesn't get wasted on the plate
Shamrock
Guess I'm not. I put mayo on 'em.When the thread title is what it is and you put mayo... My older sister has been smothering her chips in tomato sauce since primary school as a teacher would hover at lunch to eat kids chips, but avoided chips with sauce.
