Who do you like as Losman's backup next year? (do not consider salary cap issues)

I don't like any of those named choices. McNair can still start, Matthews is retiring, Couch can't play, and Warner, Fiedler and Garcia all think they're starters. We need a solid veteran backup who knows he's a backup.

Sorry, I have to consider the salaray cap issues. It is a big part of the decision. I pick Fiedler either way though.

Got it. I'm not sure who I'd like to see. If I had a choice, it might be a guy like McMahon (I don't want a guy with a ton of baggage). I also don't want any Dolphin cast off thank you very much.

Hadn't thought about Couch. Is his arm healthy? There is a guy who could be looking to resurrect a career, and has been out of football too long to be a real threat to Losman, but he could be an experienced guy who challenges him (and understands the pitfalls of expectation).
