elcrusho Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 So any advice for someone coming from Buffalo to NYC for a couple days over the summer, where to stay and where is this Bills Backer Bar there? I have to go... Probably going around July 9th forthe Old Timers Yankees game... Thanks!!
Bill from NYC Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 It fully depends on your price range.
elcrusho Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 $100 to $150 a night is fine.... Prob gonna stay That Saturday July 9th, 10th and 11th so 3 nights...
billsfanone Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 The Bills Backers bar, McFadden's, isn't really anything special outside of the football season. And special events we have.
BillsNYC Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 You should come down for a pre-season game.

KD in CA Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 $100 to $150 a night is fine.... For that rate, you should be able to find an assortment of available subway grates to sleep on. Seriously....try one of the on-line travel sites for hotels.
BB27 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 150 per night is not very much for NYC. 200 to 250 is more reasonable, and there are lots of choices.

It's just out of Times Square. I',m staying there next Tues night for $100. Check out tripadvisor.com for New York hotel reviews. The Comfort Inn Midtown was the only one that had really positive reviews only. Only saw one negative review (and it was something about the staff not smiling.) Good luck.
gmac17 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I highly recommend hotwire.com to find a hotel. Make a regular reservation somewhere now and then a month before you go check hotwire for good deals. You will probably find a 4* hotel for $130 or so at that point - if it's a better deal than your reservation you can grab it.

You can drive (or take public transportation) to the ballpark, and you will be near some nice beaches.
gmac17 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 This may not get you much in Manhattan. I disagree - as long as you look around you should have no trouble finding a decent hotel for $150. Hoboken... watch what you say about Hoboken....
BillsNYC Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 My brother comes to NYC several times a year on last minutes notice..this is where he gets great deals: www.quickbook.com
