OK...

If you consider 4/8, one a screen pass, one for two yards, and one for three yards to be the pinnacle of QB play...

Well...

I will say that Taylor has thrown two very nice balls today, that hadn't really been part of his tool belt before, on the long ball down the middle Watkins, and the anticipation throw to Woods. And that's very encouraging.

Tyrod can be very effective playing with the lead, when he's not asked to sling it all over the field.

except we didnt have the lead till Tyrod and Clay gave it to us

The beauty of this....nobody has to say a word Tyrod is proving you wrong with each game.

Nice game by Tyrod today

This. Tyrod threw for 3 TD's today and ran for the fourth and people are still complaining about his play. Absolutely ridiculous.

Nice game by Tyrod today

You think he was great today? Unsurprising.

I think was an efficient 11/21. He played well with the lead for almost the entire game, and wasn't asked to win the game with his arm. He also made a few throws that have not been a part of his game, working over the middle of the field at least 3 times in big spots, including the drop by Clay.

Still, he had his flaws, as he always does.

Bottom line: Probably his best game of the year, and in a huge spot. More good then bad today, which speaks to an excellent game plan by Roman, and an even better job by the offensive line who bullied Houston in the run game in the first half, which allowed Tyrod to be limited in his throws, and manage the game.

He was very fortunate that two pick-sixes were dropped, but he also endured two major mistakes by his receivers (Woods and Clay).

The book on Tyrod hasn't changed, and for the most part we saw the same guy we always see. We simply saw his best version of himself today.

Agree. The question is will we be seeing more and more of his best version - and can his best version also get better?

Jury is out. But clearly having some hope is not out of the question, based on what we saw today.

Actually 3...Woods had an easy completion and stepped out of bounds for an unknown reason...should have been at least 14/21...either way, the big thing is he doesn't turn the ball over often...no INT's the last 6 games, and has the record for most consecutive passes without an INT...

Yeah he is still learning, but he has done a lot more than most QB's at the position that are still learning and makes a lot fewer mistakes too...

20 TD's(17 passing, 3 rushing) versus 4 INT's on the year was the perfect formula for this team if the defense would have actually been what it was supposed to be...we would be 8-4 at least and sitting pretty...defense has cost us 2 games if not more this year.

I love how you B word about lack of middle of the field throws even when he is efficient most of the time....make every attempt to play down his production....

When he has a game that is very good by any NFL QB standards.....he played "ok" or "efficient" most QBs arent directly responsible for 4 TDs in a game as game managers

But

WHen the team loses and drives stall it "points to the fact that Tyrod is not a starting NFL QB"

Its a joke....its an absolute joke.

Made nice throws tot he middle of the field (did last week as well) and just passed Drew Bledsoe for fewest bills interceptions record.

Its his first year starting so he needs to sustain it.....but....yes he is in fact proving you wrong

Actually Tyrod throws a beautiful in stride throw to Clay that he drops.....make that 15/21

He threw 3 TD passes - maybe he was asked to help win the game with his arm.

Think he had included that in the Woods/Clay commentary, but yeah, that play could have gone for a TD, there was only one Texan defender in the picture
