There is no argument, they have to be able to BOTH run and pass effectively. The formation, say 11 personnel, 1 back 1 TE, and the defensive response, nickel, will play a big role in that regard. From that formation we can split Shady out and go 5 wides or motion him into the backfield and run against the nickel. Last game we went big 21 and 22 too much and Pats crowded the box and LOS

They may be more vulnerable to the run tonight without Collins, we shall see. But if the run ain't working early, they better move on to Plan B, quick.

We are not going to beat them running all over them like say the Ravens did that time in the play-offs when Ray Rice went off. But if we cannot run tonight we cannot win. It is as simple as that. It is the run game that will allow us to be aggressive and call our shots down the field.

If they are lined up to stop the run at the start of the game, the running game has already set up the pass. That is the whole point!

Just read in the shout box that someone just took a Bob Kraft. That was pretty smart. Solid game plan.

That’s what happens when you nibble around the edges and pretend you have a chance to grind out a win against the Patriots.

Ryan said that they were going to attack and dictate pay on defense this time around. Why did he do the exact opposite on offense? They didn't attack at all. They played please don’t turn it over, small ball. This is why Rex Ryan sucks as a head coach. He doesn't understand that the attack mentality that he likes on defense is the same mentality you have to have on offense especially when you are playing on the road.
Do the Steelers not throw the ball to Brown because he’s constantly double covered? How about Atlanta and Jones?
Rex deserves that loss. Don’t even put the blame on Roman. The Bills should just trade Sammy Watkins because they are much too afraid to throw him the ball. It’s embarrassing how big of cowards they look like not throwing him the ball.

The smart game plan for winning this game is to throw the ball deep to our WRs and TEs.

- Giants had 15 yards per catch last week exposing a huge hole in the Pats defense, they had ODB we have Watkins.

- The Bills doing this and potentially taking a two TD or more lead exposes Brady to their rushers who will know that they are in pass mode every down.

The dumb game plan is to run the ball a lot, planning on long drives that eat up time and keep Brady on the sideline.

- Long drives will expose the Bills to more BS penalties by the refs who we all know are in the bag to extend the Pats unbeaten streak.

- Belichick wants the Bills to run the ball a lot because he knows that either Brady or the refs will bail them out in the fourth quarter in an expected tight game.

Will Rex and Roman be smart or dumb? Do they want to go with the best game plan to actually win the game or will they do what Belichich thinks and hopes they do and run the ball hanging their hopes on beating Brady or the refs in a tight game in the fourth quarter. I know this goes against conventional wisdom, but it's the only way they win this game IMO.

ODB had one catch of 87 yards, that happened because of Butler being knocked off ODB by McCourty. Outside of that he had 4 catches for less than 20 yards.

Your best player IS your RB. so of course you want to run the ball.

One catch for 87 yards by Sammy would have won the game for the Bills or at least tied it. If you're an NFL coach and you are afraid to attack an NFL defense with Sammy Watkins then you need to quit your job.
