Rudyc80
I would think no.....just because we won 9 games and still they are giving him the boot. the only way maybe Bledsoe would ahve come back is if he had won a playoff game with solid play cause clearly this frnacjise doesnt have any confidence in him if they are releasing him for a rookie. Just curious on your thoughst though on wether he would still be here had he beat pitts second stringers?
Mike32282
IF the Bills beat Pittsburgh and Bledsoe had a decent game...he is still the starter today and would at least compete for the job in training camp, IMO.

col_forbin
I say he would still be the starter, unless he had a horrible wildcard game. Glad he tanked it up during the Pitt game.
plenzmd1
Think that game was kinda like a Saturday at a Major Golf Tourney. While I do not think Bledsoe could have definetly "won" the job the day, he sure as hell could "lose" it. And I think he did

No. Beat Pitt and he has a good to great game? Yes. We lost AND he looked awful, hence today's press conference.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
10-6, you're in the playoffs. Yes I think he'd be the starter next year. But again Drew proved when playing a good team, he stunk up the joint and that did him in. I was hoping he'd work out, but I agree, time to move on. 34-78-83
Yes, he would have (and should have) still been the starter if he played well and won vs. Pitt. Unfortunately he did not....
scribo
The real question is deeper than the the Pitt game. Does Drew stick around another year as the starter if we beat the Stillers and therefore likely made the playoffs? The answer to that is probably yes. justnzane
I have to say yes. DB did play rather well the second half of the year. He prolly would have thought that he had a chance to start for next year, so he would taken a pay cut and stayed here to eventually get replaced by JP. Dawgg
Yes, and I hate to say it but I'm glad that we lost to Pitt in that case. Another year with Drew Bledsoe at the helm would have further slowed this team's development. BF_in_Indiana
He is being cut now BECAUSE he lost that game to Cowher and Pittsburgh. That was Donahoe and Mularkeys Super Bowl and Drew couldn't get them past a bunch of third stringers. If that had been another team with another coach than maybe he stays for one more year after a 6 game winning streak, but that was the straw that broke the camels back.
