Whisenhunt gone in tenny, will mularkey get it too? I say YES

Philbin gone in Miami, will Campbell get fired too? I say NO

Other teams could be firing coaches:

Pettine/browns...a bum that never adddd anything YES

Caldwell/lions....he's milked "I once coached Peyton Manning" too much YES

Pagano/colts...I say stays at least another year NO

Peyton/saints...he took the first move protecting his ass firing Ryan, but if they don't improve I see him gone too NO

Chargers/McCoy....big under achievers, with a move to LA pending, I could see a cleaning out of the coaching staff YES

Smith/Tampa bay....they finish just close enough to .500 to buy lovie another year with Winston NO

Throw in the one unexpected case of falling out or retirement and I see the typical 5-6 vacancies at year end

Not sure how much more Jeff Fisher the Rams can take.

Yeah he's another one. But he gets them to around .500 and 2nd place in the division where they currently stand, I can see them sticking with him

That's a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes to take your thoughts seriously!

All will be gone that you mention except for Lovie and McCoy but McCoy has to finish strong. If he doesn't I think he's gone too.

who are the top candidates to fill the slots?

I don't think any of the experienced HCs get another shot so quickly like Rex and Fox last year. Also dont think there are any hot assistants like Bowles and Quinn. But maybe Hue Jackson.gets another shot for the job he did with Red Rifle?

That's the real question is who is out there to replace the guy you are looking to fire. Who's better vs. staying the course? I think about Marvin Lewis who is 8-1, drafted well, didn't overspend in free agency and the ownership did not react to fans years ago and fire him. 1/3 of this year, and already fans on this board wanted to fire Rex.

Think about it. Fire Caldwell after he brought the Lions finally to the playoffs last year at 11-5, and some would say were robbed in that playoff game. Fire Lovie Smith for who? He finally has a rookie QB who has some promise but requires patience. They are 4-5, and still have gaping talent holes on both lines.

The Bills have been killed by bad front office decisions, bad drafting, and a coaching carousel for 15 years. These teams need to have a solid plan, not think they can catch up with free agency as that is typically overspending, and build organically. We've had some excellent drafts these last couple of years. For example, I've heard negative or mediocre comments on Glenn as LT, but according to the stats he is the 4th best Tackle in the league right now.

The best teams are ones with a good front office, continuity in coaching, and excellent drafting. I like that Whaley spent this year in free agency, and really helped us, but we won't do that again next year. We'll pick up a role player here or there, and focus on resigning guys.

Mcdaniels is one candidate I can think of if pats go far again. I'd want no part of him thinking his first stint was so bad it exposed weaknesses as an HC he'll never overcome. But don't be shocked if he's coaching browns next year .... theyre gullible enough ....be a bit irionic too retracing his mentor's path. Edited by JTSP

Not sure how much more Jeff Fisher the Rams can take.

Here is a tidbit about Jeff Fisher on nfl.com

Fisher has six winning seasons in 21 years as an NFL head coach, but it's believed that he has strong organizational support from owner Stan Kroenke and general manager Les Snead. F

Six winning seasons in over two decades of NFL coaching. How does he do that!!!!! and Mike Mularkey was sent packing after a 9-7 record.

Neither of two interimers survive for me. So that is vacancies in Miami and Tennessee.

I think Pagano will be gone.

I think McCoy will be gone.

I think Pettine will be gone.

I think Peyton and New Orleans are heading for a messy divorce.

I think Chip and Philly are also heading for a messy divorce.

Caldwell and Lovie will be ok I think and for some reason the Rams look like they will keep Fisher but I would fire him. I would also fire Rex Ryan. But that won't happen unless we lose out and then there is a small chance.

That leaves in my mind openings in:

Miami

Tennessee

Indianapolis

San Diego

Cleveland

New Orleans

Philadelphia

People who will definitely be NFL Head Coaches by the start of next season:-

Sean Peyton; Hue Jackson; Sean McDermott and (if he wants to be) Josh McDaniels. I think McDaniels wants to wait and succeed BB though.
