nuklz2594 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 was reading article on bleacher report. lots of stats on LT. guy was great. thermal is a hall of famer. who ya got?
YoloinOhio Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 LT will be a HOF as well. Thermal all day (obviously)
Buffalo Beeeews Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Thurman - 4 AFC Championships. LT - 0 AFC Championships. Thurmal all day. #WhatItDo
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 For a year or two LT might have better numbers. If you could only draft one to have their career, it would be The Thurmanator easily!!!!
BillsFan130 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) Thurman - 4 AFC Championships. LT - 0 AFC Championships. Thurmal all day. #WhatItDo That is kind of an unfair stat to base it on though. If you think Thurman is better fair enough but saying that stat is like saying dilfer is better than Kelly and marino because, dilfer 1 superbowl, dan marino and jim kelly 0 Edited November 21, 2015 by billsfan11
r00tabaga Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Love TT but LT was more explosive. TT had other intangibles though. Pass catching during that era was rare. He was great.
Rico Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 TT all the way. Although he disappointed in some SB's, he was $ in a lot of big games. Have no use for LT at all after the AFC Championship game against the Pats. Mad props for Rivers though that day. .
Prickly Pete Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Both great, LT is a better running back, but Thurman is a better "performer", as in clutch plays that win games. He is also a better receiver. Thurman every day.
Nihilarian Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 What a lot of Bills fan might not know is that Thurman Thomas was around 75% of the Bills offense in those glory days, and the Bills usually ran more every year then they passed the ball. Jim Kelly and the K gun offense with the no huddle is what everyone remembers but the real hero was Thurman running the ball so well, and equally dangerous out of the backfield catching the ball. Just to show exactly how dangerous he was out of the backfield catching passes. In a playoff loss to Cleveland in 1989 Thomas had 13 receptions for 150 yards, and two TD's. Thomas is still the only player in NFL history to lead the league in yards from scrimmage for four straight years. Both are great RB's in their own right. I just happen to prefer Thurman over LT
