They would have worldwide streaming rights on top of the a regular TV package.

The Wiz
do you really think that will be the case? this is setting up to be a pay to watch game Pretty much. I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't made the Superbowl or playoffs for that matter a pay per view event yet.
elroy16
Yahoo: We want to stream more games. NFL: Will you pay us a ton of money? Yahoo: Yes. NFL: Will this affect the ability to watch... never mind, who cares. Deal.
Chandler#81
Pretty much. I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't made the Superbowl or playoffs for that matter a pay per view event yet. I'm guessing they're still satisfied with the $4.5M 30 second ad price..

Miyagi-Do Karate
Maybe this will head to an a la carte package where you pay for each game. Could be cheaper, since I am only interested in watching the bills games.

White Linen
It's a matter of time before the whole house of cards comes tumbling down. Greed will eventually kill the golden goose. I don't consider growing your business greed. It's simply understanding and expanding the market.
BillsVet
as long as it's free to us I'm down Why should it be free? The NFL's content is going to cost something and ultimately that money is paid out equally among each of the 32 franchises. This in large part allows teams like Buffalo to remain competitive by getting a 200M+ check every year.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower
Eventually, the NFL will drive away watchers/followers if they push it too far. At that time they will adapt to the market. This has not occurred yet! Edited November 19, 2015 by The Thurmanator
PromoTheRobot
I don't consider growing your business greed. It's simply understanding and expanding the market. I watch the Sabres through a streaming app. Why not the Bills?
Beef Jerky
Pretty much. I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't made the Superbowl or playoffs for that matter a pay per view event yet. Commercials make more money. I watch the Sabres through a streaming app. Why not the Bills? NFL has a ticket app.
FloridaSnow
Pretty much. I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't made the Superbowl or playoffs for that matter a pay per view event yet. Ask boxing how that has worked for them. There was a time when everyone watched and talked about the big fight, now it is a niche sport.

GunnerBill
I already pay a significant price for my game pass subscription but I consider it good value as a UK based fan to get every game available. I suppose it is suckers like me they depend on
benderbender
I can imagine the fandom when you are forced to pay to watch every game. Then when your team loses, it's not just your team, it's your financial investment going south.
hmsmystic
Pretty much. I'm kind of surprised the NFL hasn't made the Superbowl or playoffs for that matter a pay per view event yet. I am thinking doing so would dramatically reduce the game package pricing they get from the Networks. Football is the top show everyone watches and the Networks need those Playoff Sundays (and Saturdays!)
