Media outlets aren’t holding back on publishing this photo of a drowned father and daughter

 

CNN reports:

In the photo, the bodies have come to rest near a river bank where five discarded beer cans and an empty soda bottle sit in the tall reeds. Another beer can floats next to the girl’s body.

Salvadoran officials said the father and daughter drowned on Sunday. Their bodies were found Monday.

Salvadoran Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandra Hill said the government is working with Mexican authorities to repatriate the remains.

She called on those who plan to migrate to the United States illegally to refrain from doing so.

“Our county is in mourning, again. I beg you, to all the families, parents, don’t risk it,” she said, according to a CNN translation. “Life is worth a lot more.”

2. Gangs/traffickers
3. Those refusing to build wall aka funnelling people to LEGAL entry points.
4. Open borders activists

In the U.S every citizen/parent would be charged with endangering the welfare of a child for a myriad of actions associated with a journey from Central America and the death of a child. The Border Patrol and ICE get blamed by the Left for the actual sins of the mothers and fathers of these children.

By now you’ve probably seen that heartbreaking photo of Óscar Alberto Martínez Ramírez and his 23-month-old daughter, Valeria from El Salvador who drowned while attempting to cross the Rio Grande river and enter the U.S. to, presumably, apply for asylum.

 

But the New York Times is reporting this morning that relatives say that Martínez and his family was not fleeing violence at home, and therefore it’s likely that their asylum claim would have been denied, which is true in both the Trump and Obama administrations:

Clicking over to the La Prensa site (which crashed my browser twice) it said the DHS is the agency that alerted the Mexicans that these fine, upstanding, asylum seeks were on their way:

The Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan $4.5 billion bill to combat the escalating humanitarian crisis on the southern border, moments after rejecting a House version over its restrictions on enforcement efforts -- setting up a race to reconcile the two measures before Congress leaves town.
 

The Senate bill passed 84-8. That vote in the Republican-controlled chamber came minutes after the House version was voted down 55-37.
 

It's unclear what will come next. The Senate vote could put pressure on the Democrat-controlled House to pass its version before Congress breaks for the July 4 recess. Or the two chambers could try and hash out their differences in what is known as a conference committee.
