Refugee Crisis in the U. S. (?)

JUST THINK OF THE MEDIA AS DEMOCRATIC PARTY OPERATIVES WITH BYLINES AND IT ALL MAKES SENSE

What the Viral Border-Patrol Video Leaves Out.

Predictably, the vast majority of the people and the outlets that shared this exchange failed to note that the violations being discussed had occurred during the previous administration, while those who did know failed to ask themselves (and others) why the violations didn’t receive similar coverage when they were first exposed. Instead, they jumped straight to the conclusion that the federal government, headed up by President Trump, was deliberately inflicting pain on babies. This isn’t true.

It wasn’t true during the Obama administration either. Then, as now, the violations weren’t part of an intentional or evil ploy, but were the product of the system’s being overloaded.

Then, as now, the intended care at these facilities was humane, and consistent within the requirement under Flores. In 2014, the Obama administration was dealing with a serious crisis: a large influx of unaccompanied minors that strained the facilities. In 2019, the Trump administration is dealing with a serious crisis: a large influx of unaccompanied minors that strains the facilities.

The absence of coverage back in 2014 makes perfect sense. After all:

The "Enemy of the people" save the children

More than 300 children are being relocated from a remote Border Patrol station in Texas following an Associated Press reporthighlighting poor conditions at the facility. The government has moved most children out of the facility, which is near El Paso and was operating over capacity, and now only 30 children remain. The AP’s previous report said children as young as 10- to 15-years-old were taking care of toddlers and that there was inadequate food, water, and sanitation services. U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) said some kids were sent to a different facility in El Paso, but it is unclear where all of them have been moved to.

If only the facilities had adequate funding for the surge in numbers... ?

The administration was arguing in court that children don't need tooth brushes and any basic human necassities, so why would funding matter?

4 days ago - Detained migrant children got no toothbrush, no soap, no sleep. ... don't have a toothbrush, if you don't have soap, if you don't have a blanket, ...

Huh, its almost like that exact article mentions the lack of funding at one point. Strange.

CNN ON IMMIGRATION: Never Seen This Level Of Cooperation From Mexico Before.

Hmmmm.

.

It's in Mexico's best interest to cooperate. If these families settle down it will take away jobs from the single Mexicans that used to come here to work. The dynamic has changed in that we are getting families from Central America and elsewhere that can't be easily deported. By law we have to at least house them for awhile and we are literally overwhelmed. Mexico is cooperating to save jobs for their own people.

No, they don't.  They want the centers closed, and the kids released and reunited with their parents.

They fail to realize that many of the kids will be reunited with traffickers.  And that even the ones reunited with family have nowhere to go.  And that almost all of them will disappear.

But as long as they're being raped and abused out of sight by private individuals, and not being neglected by the understaffed federal government for everyone to see, it's good.

Ummm yeah. Wayfair has a cult following among the 20 and 30 something crowds.  Should be interesting if those people walking out tomorrow have jobs the next day. The works are protesting that Wayfair sold beds to the facilities. Are they gonna screech if the kids have to sleep on the floor because they protested these kids having beds?

Here's the hashtag:  https://twitter.com/hashtag/WayfairWalkout
