GunnerBill Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 He is bad. I watched that game on Sunday he was not good. However they need to see what they have. Now is the time.
FireChan Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 That was probably the designed play, right? I'm sure he can sustain that and lead his team to a superbowl win just like Michael Vick did. Improvisation and escapability won Wilson and Big Ben Superbowls.
fridge Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Improvisation and escapability won Wilson and Big Ben Superbowls. It certainly is an attribute that they have in common. Good thing those guys are also good at throwing the football and diagnosing defenses.

fridge Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 JFF has the arm and the brain. Just has to work hard and improve. When you improvise once and a while good things can happen, I agree. When you make it your main attribute, you're in trouble. The touchdown you posted was called back anyways, as Johnny Football would have been eaten alive at the 20 yard line.
Talley56 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Might as well, what do they have to lose at 2-8? He either gets better with experience the rest of the season setting him up to become great next year and years to come (doubt this will happen) or he flops, they lose out, and they get a high draft pick where they can go after their next possible franchise QB.

He looks much better than last year, which is a good sign. That's okay, he's still got this one.
4merper4mer Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 This thread has made be thankful that there are no GIFs of Marrone making good playcalls from the sidelines.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 This is a smart move by Pettine and maybe the only thing that can save his job. They just aren't going to win with McCown, and the only chance they have for hope for next season is if somehow Johnny Fieldgoal catches fire. It isn't likely to happen but it's the only chance to salvage this season and have hope for the future. I thought he played pretty well although had a couple of terrible plays. ^^^^^^^Agree he looked pretty good. The team around him is crap though.

4merper4mer Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Wouldn't that be wonderful? There are plenty of GIFs where he looks like an idiot or tells Orton to throw it into the ground.
QCity Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 ^^^^^^^Agree he looked pretty good. The team around him is crap though. He played pretty darn well last Sunday despite being under siege the entire game.
CardinalScotts Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 unemployment line for pettine, and the browns hire ANOTHER coach....they just keep doing the same crap
Malazan Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Manziel could certainly have the career of a superstar like Tim Tebow.
buffaloboyinATL Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 JFF? Johnny Fantasy Football? Johnny Freakin' Football? Johnny Forced Fumble?
Not at the table Karlos Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 JFF? Johnny Fantasy Football? Johnny Freakin' Football? Johnny Forced Fumble? Johnny !@#$ing football
DrDawkinstein Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 JFF? Johnny Fantasy Football? Johnny Freakin' Football? Johnny Forced Fumble? I thought this thread was about Jason Fierre-Faul
Kelly the Dog Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I thought this thread was about Jason Fierre-Faul Did you see during the Pats game when he tried giving a teammate a High 3.5?

If by "catches fire" you mean "crashes and burns" - then I'm on board.
