JOHN KASS: “The lie we were told as kids was this: The end of American liberty would come at the hands of the political right.”

“But the lie is obvious now, isn’t it? Because it is not conservatives who coerced today’s young people or made them afraid of ideas that challenge them.

Conservatives did not shame people into silence, or send thugs out on college campuses to beat down those who wanted to speak.

The left did all that.”

"It's there in front of you, the thuggish mobs of the left killing free speech at American universities. The thugs call themselves antifas, for anti-fascists.

They beat people up and break things and set fires and intimidate. These are not anti-fascists. These are fascists. This is what fascists do."

"Safe spaces are not about learning or critical thinking. Safe spaces belong to education camps, where future bureaucrats are trained in the Orwellian shaping of language and the culling of threatening ideas."

Good to see something like this in the Tribune. Maybe it will actually get a few people thinking.

Probably not.

Kass is their token conservative, though. It's not like the Trib seriously believes anything he writes for them.

So if they called it something other than 'Chinese Salad' then she'd start crying about cultural appropriation, I'll bet.

That still doesn't give those damn chinks the right to create General Tsao's Burrito Grande.

Yup I heard someone on the radio last week refer to them as the modern day book burners. It's so true and they likely don't get the similarities. !@#$ing hypocrites.

They're trying to recreate the political climate in Germany leading up to WWII, but they're playing both sides at once; they've got the fascist movement going strong, so they've decided to diversify into book-burning.

Supposedly because people like us are intolerant.

This is a must-see film for anyone interested in knowing the real issues; Left or Right.

A feminist documentary: written, researched, and filmed by a self-proclaimed modern feminist.

The University of California-Santa Cruz caved to the demands of liberal student protesters who staged a sit-in at the administration building, Abby Huntsman reported.

Huntsman called it another example of educators accommodating "snowflakes on campus."

The school's African-Black Student Alliance occupied the building for three days, demanding four specific concessions from the administration.

According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, the four demands were four years of student housing for "all students from underrepresented communities" who applied to live in the Rosa Parks House, creating a lounge space in the Parks House, painting the Parks House the colors of Pan-African liberation and teaching a "mandatory educational diversity orientation" to freshmen students.

What next, their own areas on the bus?

They can put a movable screen on the bus and make them sit behind the screen?
