“You know, it’s like a car dealer, they wanted $5,000, you Jew ‘em down to $4,000,” Muschal told the Globe. “It’s nothing vicious. The expression has been said millions of times.”

The other night I watched Jerry Seinfeld's show with comedians, cars and coffee or whatever, and he's with Mel Brookes and Carl Reiner, who eat dinner every night in Reiner's  living room on those old collapsible TV dinner trays while watching Jeopardy recordings. As Brookes is leaving, he says good-bye and turns to Seinfeld and says "You know the difference between a frenchman and a Jew? A frenchman leaves and never says 'good bye' and a Jew says good-bye and never leaves.' "

DISPATCHES FROM THE EDUCATION APOCALYPSEN.J. Schools Pushing Far-Left Indoctrination. What the Hell Is Betsy DeVos Doing?

Melissa Barnett, a supervisor of English Language Arts in the Washington Township School District in New Jersey, caused outrage on Twitter by tweeting out a photo of hundreds of books in dumpsters. “This week, dumpsters were filled with books that should have left decades ago @TWPSchools and replaced with engaging, relevant, culturally diverse literature.”

* * * * * * * *

Amongst the “books that should have left decades ago” visible in these bins are “Hiroshima” by Pulitzer Prize winner John Hersey, a 1946 journalistic account of the lives of 6 survivors of the atomic bomb, which started some of the 1st debates about the morality of atomic weapons.

Along with “Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, 1984, by George Orwell, Slaughter House Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck, Dante’s Inferno, and Night, by Elie Wiesel.”

To be fair, why keep copies of 1984 on hand? It might remind the kids that they’re living it out first hand.

Did they also burn "Fahrenheit 411"?  Throw out all the Vonneguts?

I read a short story by Kurt a while back where at some point in the future everyone would be made equal by the government to make things fair.  If you were pretty, they would attach a few moles to your face. If you were fast and athletic you had to carry around weights in you pocket to slow you down.  Orwell gets a lot of credit for predicting the future and rightly so, but Kurt was on top of it too.

It's not even a fishing trip (the college already has them/knows what's there, if they are seeking to unseal), it's simply meant to release things to embarrass the clerk/family.

The ominously monikered “Black Emergency Response Team” at the University of Oklahoma took to social media over the weekend to alert campus about a new “blackface” incident.

The BERT announced Sunday on Twitter that a student — in a private story — had posted a photo of himself in a “charcoal face mask” that supposedly was “poking fun” at a January OU blackface incident.

What’s more, according to The OU Daily, the BERT made the tweet “despite not having all of the information”; however, it justified its post by noting “We are certain that our community is exhausted by such incidents of hate and ignorance.”

Women’s and gender studies major and BERT member Destinee Dickson said her group was tipped off to the photo by an OU student. She said “It seems clear based on what we know that it is an instance of blackface,” and added “We are still trying to get details about the situation, and we will be updating people as we learn more.”

YOUR DAILY TREACHER: ADL Declares OK Sign a ‘Hate Symbol.’

I don’t care how racists and other scumbags communicate with each other. It has nothing to do with me, and I refuse to concede anything to them.

Why should we let the dregs of society dictate which hand signals we can and can’t use?

Why should we do exactly what they want us to do?

Why should we surrender to them?

The trick is to be smarter than the racists. Right, Barry?
