is it really that hard to believe that now that we are mostly healthy we could beat the Jets handily and then with a long rest sneak out a win vs the Pats? at that point we would be the fav for the wildcard. and let's not forget, the 5th place team in the AFC will probably play against the winner of the AFC South which will be either the Colts or the Texans!

Kdiggz- I like the optimism. I think we can win tonight. I also can see us after the Pats winning most of the games. It's possible we get the Colts on wildcard weekend. We could also get Denver. I see the Bengals and Pats with the top 2 seeds.

Us beating the Pats in Foxboro? That's a stretch. They just look unbeatable. I'll still say prayers we beat them though.

Divisional game...time to put up or shut up. Yes, playoff contender status IS at stake. Need thursday night bad.....after the debacle in London. Of course, if tyrod goes down again, its all over for this season. EJ's meltdown in London has greatly dimished the teams prospects imho. No only did we book the loss, we learned the backup at QB is not reliable, hopefully once and for all.

Fair enough! I just think with this team healthy we are a much better team than the Jets so I guess they will have to prove it tonight!

I think that, after 8 games through a season, you are what your record says you are. They're an average team that's inconsistent, prone to stupid penalties and don't seem to be buying into the defensive scheme.

This is the "prove it" game of the season, and could change our fortunes if we can manage to win.

However, I had higher expectations for this year, but we seem to be right back to where we are every year.

I'm not optimistic for this game, if fact, my gut tells me they are going to somewhat embarrass themselves tonight.

Even if it's not the Colts or Texans, we could conceivably go up against two legendary big game chokers in 2 games, Dalton and Manning. Then if another team beats the Pats in the 2nd round, the Super Bowl is well within reach.

FiveThirtyEight predicts a 8-8 season record for the Bills this season with a 28% (up from 21%) chance of making the playoffs and a less than 1% (unchanged) chance of winning it all.

Amos predicts a 8-8 season record for the Bills.

SportsClubStats (http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html) predicts a record of 8-8 for the Bills this season with a 28.9% (up from 20.1%) chance of making the playoffs.

So if I'm reading this right, it says we have a 60% chance of the playoffs if we win 9 games?

Week 10 forecast: Revenge within reach?

Will Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo Bills help Rex Ryan beat his former team? Or will Darrelle Revis' Jets prevail? Elliot Harrison predicts the winner of that and every game on the Week 10 slate.

The return of the sweater vest ... Convenient that the most heavily anticipated contest of Week 10 is also the first contest of Week 10. The key to a glorious MetLife homecoming for Rex Ryan will be the play of Tyrod Taylor, who will have to fit the ball into tighter windows against the Jets. Taylor went 11 for 12 against Miami's back seven last week, but New York is better defensively, even if the Jets' secondary is banged up. Yes, Antonio Cromartie -- who has become the "Where's Waldo?" player that opposing coaching staffs seek out to attack -- is doubtful, while Buster Skrine is questionable and safeties Calvin Pryor and Dion Bailey are out. But there's still Darrelle Revis to contend with.

Side note: When I mentioned on the set of "NFL Gameday Blitz" that Waldo was the name of the kid in the "Hot for Teacher" video, I got blank stares from MJD and Ike Taylor. I'm assuming that's because they're strictly Sammy Hagar guys, with blind spots for the David Lee Roth years. #BUFvsNYJ
