LeviF
i'm thinking this is much better but clearly wouldn't fit you. http://ep.yimg.com/ay/computergear/eschew-obfuscation-funny-t-shirt-3.gif My 11th grade english teacher used to say "Eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation." I think the irony was actually lost on her.

I think the irony was actually lost on her. the irony is obvious. it's the message that's so frequently ignored, especially here at ppp. sounds like your 11th grade teacher was fully engaged. i doubt she had problem with subtlety. she may have failed to impart it on some of her students however. perhaps we could all learn a few things from george will, especially about bill o'reilly. KD in CA
1984 is the first election that I have a memory of. I remember my Dad asking me if I could vote, would I vote for the President or the guy who wants to raise my taxes. Dad was a stereotypical Reagan Democrat. White cop in a Rust Belt city I turned 18 that summer so had the privilege to vote for RWR. He came to Fairfield, CT (about 2 miles from my HS) for a campaign stop about 3 weeks before the election. Of course we skipped out and went. The place was like a college pep rally everyone was so fired up. A handful of whiny liberals there were shouted down. Good stuff. birdog1960
I just this picture tattooed on my lower back. In “The Great Gatsby,” F. Scott Fitzgerald writes of Tom and Daisy Buchanan, who “smashed up things” and then “retreated back into . . . their vast carelessness . . . and let other people clean up the mess they had made.” Tidying up after O’Reilly could be a full-time job but usually is not worth the trouble. When, however, O’Reilly’s vast carelessness pollutes history and debases the historian’s craft, the mess is, unlike O’Reilly, to be taken seriously. in case you missed that particular classic, George will has read it. so, I turn the tv back on this am and it's still tuned to fox business news. and guess who they're asking about his take on the debate? yep, you guessed it. that humble guy you see above. what a great network! /dev/null
Raise your hand if you actually watch Bill-O or lend credence to anything he says/writes. *PPP crickets* Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, and Killing Jesus were pretty good made for TV movies. There was a Wild West series a couple months back that O'RLY was involved with that I enjoyed And all were a helluva lot more historically accurate than the History© channel and I just this picture tattooed on my lower back. tramp stamp

Chef Jim
A government employee that was against taxes. Love it! Sounds like the typical Medicare recipient screaming that Obamacare is socialism, lol That fact that you don't understand that someone who get's paid by the government can be against big government at the same time says a lot about your ability to reason. Oh and where in dev's post did he say his dad was against taxes? Edited November 12, 2015 by Chef Jim
