YoloinOhio Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 @MarQueisG: Only if u split it in half and use to pieces of bread! Other than that...NO! 😂 https://t.co/Ndw1QarzMs
playman Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 every sandwich has at least 1 90° angle. so by geometric rules a hot dog just can´t be a sandwich

QuoteTheRaven83 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 By definition they are a sandwich but I still don't consider it one. A sandwich is by definition: an item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with meat, cheese, or other filling between them, eaten as a light meal. Especially if you put chili, sauerkraut, pickles, onions, on a hot dog, it's technically a sandwich.
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Jordan Gay had an interesting question: is a taco a sandwich? This is clearly a heavy duty intellectual exercise. Also, is this a question on the test these guys take at the Combine. Not sure where you guys eat your tacos but where I get em, they don't use bread.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Alton Brown says so, and I trust his opinion on the matter: https://twitter.com/altonbrown/status/554474044377300992
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 So a stuffed pizza is a sandwich? Do you know what bread is?
26CornerBlitz Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Not sure where you guys eat your tacos but where I get em, they don't use bread. There are soft tacos and hard tacos.
The Poojer Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 pizza dough, tortilla, naan, pita all fit this definition bread bred/ noun 1. food made of flour, water, and yeast or another leavening agent, mixed together and baked. Do you know what bread is?
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) pizza dough, tortilla, naan, pita all fit this definition OK so I guess a cupcake, burrito, taco, pizza, calzone, birthday cakes, nachos, stuffed pastries are all considered sandwiches as well then by definition... 26CornerBlitz Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) OK so I guess a cupcake, birthday cakes, nachos, are all considered sandwiches as well then by definition... Where's the meat in any of these? They're not even veggie sandwiches. Edited November 5, 2015 by 26CornerBlitz

The Poojer Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 i have had a hamburger with peanut butter, it was surprisingly awesome....hold the jelly though You put meat in peanut butter and jelly sandwiches dude? you're fckin gross. Where do you get meat with your ice cream sandwiches?
BuffaloinDecember Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) I say yes. Meat and assorted toppings between bread. If a sub is a sandwich then a hot dog is a sandwich. You have a point considering that a "sub" has a number of fillings (like meat or whatever you may choose) loaded in a piece of bread that has been barely "sliced in two" therefor a hot dog is pretty much the same. Kelly the Dog Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 A traditional sandwich shop does not serve hotdogs and a traditional hotdog stand does not serve sandwiches. Plus, Warren Zevon was not referring to hotdogs when his life lesson was "Enjoy every sandwich."
Nanker Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Alton Brown says so, and I trust his opinion on the matter: https://twitter.com/altonbrown/status/554474044377300992 He has to be referring to soft tacos. He has to. i have had a hamburger with peanut butter, it was surprisingly awesome....hold the jelly though On the other hand, I usually put jelly on an Egg'a Muffin. No PB though.
