Canadian Bills Fan Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Haha! Awesome I say no! It is it's own category like a Burger! So next debate.... Is a burger a sandwich? I say no CBF
DC Tom Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 So next debate.... Is a burger a sandwich? I say no CBF No. Se my previous post.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 A sandwich is one or more food items placed between two pieces of bread. Ergo, a hot dog is not a sandwich, since it is placed in a split roll. What about if the bun splits and you turn the hot dog sideways? Does it become a sandwich? No. Se my previous post. We posted at the same time CBF
26CornerBlitz Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 A sandwich is one or more food items placed between two pieces of bread. Ergo, a hot dog is not a sandwich, since it is placed in a split roll. What about a sub sandiwch?
snafu Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 A sandwich is one or more food items placed between two pieces of bread. Ergo, a hot dog is not a sandwich, since it is placed in a split roll. Just because a roll is split doesn't disqualify whatever you put into it from being called a sandwich. Bread comes in a loaf until it is sliced. New Question: what about traditional open faced "sandwiches" like a Reuben, a Monte Cristo or a Tuna Melt?
stevestojan Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Henderson's serious attitude answering the question is awesome. The answer is of course, no. If Leodis McKelvins logic says one thing, the answer is always the opposite.
The Poojer Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 a rueben isn't open faced Just because a roll is split doesn't disqualify whatever you put into it from being called a sandwich. 26CornerBlitz Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 @billsupdates Is a hot dog a sandwich? Buffalo Bills players debate the issue http://ow.ly/UfQea
snafu Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 a rueben isn't open faced It is in my local place here in Brooklyn. And it is really good.
The Poojer Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I won't argue with any place in NYC area that sells ruebens. they could put it on saltines and I'm sure it would still be among the best things i've ever eaten It is in my local place here in Brooklyn. And it is really good.
Leroi Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a sandwich is "two or more slices of bread with a filling such as meat or cheese placed between them, or a partly split long or round roll containing a filling." Imo
White Linen Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Next thing you'll know people will be saying a wrap is a sandwich. When will it stop?
26CornerBlitz Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Next thing you'll know people will be saying a wrap is a sandwich. When will it stop? All of these meat and bread combinations are just sub-categories of sandwiches IMO.
Seasons1992 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 All of these meat and bread combinations are just sub-categories of sandwiches IMO. I agree with this. You can say going out to grab a "sandwich" and perhaps what you see as a "traditional" sando doesn't look as good as a wrap. Did you still go out to get a sandwich? Yes you did.
What a Tuel Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 So next debate.... Is a burger a sandwich? I say no CBF A burger is a burger!
TallskiWallski83 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 A sandwich is one or more food items placed between two pieces of bread. Ergo, a hot dog is not a sandwich, since it is placed in a split roll. By your logic if you don't split the roll into two separate ententies then it's not a sandwich. So let's say I cut into a roll and stuff it with meat cheese lettuce and condiments is that not a sandwich? What about pita bread? What about a sub that hasn't been divided into two separate parts? No my friend no, this issue is deeper than just separating bread
Nanker Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 @JoeBuscaglia And lastly, Bacarri Rambo, is a hot dog a sandwich? #Bills https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/661997569376022528/pu/vid/1280x720/DvjIuvjaRQN4bQh6.mp4 Rambo's perfect!
