Charles Romes Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Wherever he goes there is an early Wade effect. A pronounced bump up in performance. By year three it totally wears off.
White Linen Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 One of the games all time great defensive minds.
BuffaloWings Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 HC - no, DC - heck yes! This. Wade has more than proven himself to be an excellent DC. He has never proven himself (in my mind) to be a good HC.
BmarvB Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Wade's a better DC than HC, but I would be fine with him coaching the team as long as he has the right OC, and leaves Ronnie Jones wherever the hell he is now and keep him away from our ST.
Dorkington Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I couldn't care less who the HC is as long as they bring us playoffs+.
TC in St. Louis Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Rex is going to get us there this year. He is the right man for the job. He's elevated our profile. Now that we are nearly healthy, he will elevate our play.
Jobu Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Rex is going to get us there this year. He is the right man for the job. He's elevated our profile. Now that we are nearly healthy, he will elevate our play. Your Kool-Aid looks and smells good, but has an odd mouth feel.
Manther Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 They'd also need to sign a punt catcher, but, at least they wouldn't have to worry about someone taking the sail out of their wind. (I vote no) LOVE the punt catcher quote. It is and was one of my favourite quotes ever!
Marv's Neighbor Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Without question...YES! Ralph's gone, RJ's gone, what could go wrong?
Utah John Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I voted no, thinking he would make a great DC but he's always been limited in abilities with the head job. But there's no way Rex brings in another DC. He has the arrogance to think he can make this work better than Schwartz or Pettine, both of whom got a lot more out of about the same personnel as Rex has. Rex has done what no OC did the past two years -- he neutralized the Bill's pass rush.
boyst Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Went from yes to no. Was yes because AF first I remembered he is able to combine talent and has organizational skill
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 HC - no, DC - heck yes!This... Good DC, lousy HC.... This has been validated retested multiple times now.
White Linen Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I couldn't care less who the HC is as long as they bring us playoffs+. So you want them to win and don't care how they do it or who they do it with? Then what's the point of being here?
ALF Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Schwartz , Pettine ,Wade Phillips, and Rex are very good DCs. Not so sure about HC
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 The difference between a good OC/DC and HC is that to be a coordinator, you just need a good football mind, X's and O's, Wade and both Ryan brothers, best in the game. Great football minds. Head coach involves player/personal management, which is a skill that some people don't have.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Wade over Rex? Yes! Wade over the field? I don't know. But today he feels like a big step up. A lot over Rex.
Saxum Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Would make a difference who he was choosing as OC, amount of control OC had and how many changes he felt were needed in coaching staff. I thought he was a terrible coach on time outs and other macro decisions and Wade does not know offense. Regardless I think it is useless poll since I do not think Rex will be let go until at least half his contract was done.
