Dorkington Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 It's amazing that Cassel is so bad, especially since universal opinion is that EJ is the worst QB in the history of the NFL, if not football as a whole.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 In a Galaxy far far away Jar Jar Binks would make a better QB if you asked the right people.
ALLEN1QB Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game.
ALF Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game. I want to believe not getting the plays in his headset threw EJ way off like never before.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game. I believe if EJ took a knee on every play we still would have won the game.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) And people wonder why the word "hater" is thrown about. Edited November 2, 2015 by BillsFan-4-Ever
peterpan Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I personally didn't know why we traded for cassel in the first place.
GunnerBill Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I personally didn't know why we traded for cassel in the first place. Cos at that point EJ was the only QB not named Jeff Tuel on the roster.
billsfan_34 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 So far he is. The Bills will have to draft a QB in round 1 next year. I think an OL is what the Bills will target or possibly LB.
White Linen Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Everyone with half a brain knows Cassel is a miserable QB and you never ever want him to play. He doesn't even have the physical tools to help you. Edited November 2, 2015 by Triple Threat
apuszczalowski Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Which is only 20 more than Aaron Rodgers managed last night....... therefore Matt Cassel is better then Aaron Rodgers!
26CornerBlitz Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game. ABC! ABC!
Best Player Available Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) I want to believe not getting the plays in his headset threw EJ way off like never before. me too. Too bad the Bills like the other franchises have done. never figured out a hand signal system. Also of note was EJ looking at his plays on the wrist band AFTER the huddle broke. Good stuff! Formerly Allan in MD Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 So far he is. The Bills will have to draft a QB in round 1 next year. The Bills will have to draft an offensive lineman in round 1 next year. And perhaps another one soon thereafter.
Flip Johnson Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 The local Buffalo media crucifying Whaley for moving Cassel should put their smartphones and laptops away. Preach this. The Bills put up 52 points in two games with EJ at the helm. I defy anyone to tell me that Cassel would have led the Bills to those point totals.
ALLEN1QB Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Preach this. The Bills put up 52 points in two games with EJ at the helm. I defy anyone to tell me that Cassel would have led the Bills to those point totals. The only problem is that the 52 points were on the wrong scoreboard.
Maury Ballstein Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game. Might wanna watch the last 2 cowboys games and reevaluate
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Might wanna watch the last 2 cowboys games and reevaluate IMO they are trolling for the "EJ supporters" to argue with them. Reality bites - Matt is not lighting it up. Edited November 2, 2015 by BillsFan-4-Ever
RyanC883 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 both guys stink it up about the same magnitude, just in different ways. At least Manuels horrific swings from a few decent throws to erratic and catastrophic provide more entertainment than Mehs inability to throw further than 4 yards downfield. this. I'd take EJ's ability to make some terrific throws and some horrible ones over Cassel's inability to do anything. . Scary to think that the plan was for this guy to start. Good thing Tyrod has shown some real good things. Still, I think QB will and should be the #1 priority going forward after this year. I think we get a QB in the 1st or 2nd round, depending on depth at that position compared to LB--we will need to replace Bradham. Also, perhaps Stafford becomes available in FA/trade. I still believe that if we started Cassel against the jags we win that game. I think Cassel would have been sacked about 100X. The Cowboys have about the best OL in the NFL, and he is still terrible. Put EJ on the Cowboys and keep Cassel, and everyone would be calling for Whaley for trading EJ. And really, why is everyone arguing over average to sub-average QB's.
Max997 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Jerry Jones said at the time that they were switching to Cassel because he thought the offense needed a spark which was just hilarious
