Dragonborn10 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 He is worse than Trent Edwards. Yes I was an EJ supporter and he let me down. But Cassel is horrible.
GunnerBill Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 97 yards passing Which is only 20 more than Aaron Rodgers managed last night.......
Buffalo Boy Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Which is only 20 more than Aaron Rodgers managed last night....... The point being the ABC portion of this board was right. EJ crapped the bed and now, noone can say he wasn't given a chance. Maybe not the best chance but he doesn't have it. But, Cassel is Cassel. There could be no doubt who he was either and I celebrate the fact that Whaley dumped him. It forces the issue with this team and if we are ever going to get the QB position set up, Cassel had no part to play in that endeavor. I loved the thread about "If Cassel plays well, is Whaley gone." Right up there with "If Clavin wins jeapordy, what will he do with the winnings?"

I agreed with the decision to trade Cassel and still do.
eball Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 All Cassel vs. EJ talk should be officially put to rest, now that both have had two starts and both have two losses. This just in -- they're both subpar. If I was a Dallas fan I'd be pulling my hair out. I watched the end of both of their games and Cassel's inability to even try to make a play downfield is embarrassing. The local Buffalo media crucifying Whaley for moving Cassel should put their smartphones and laptops away. Hopefully both Taylor and Romo are healthy soon, and these other two QBs can go to the bench where they belong.
ALF Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If Cassel looks like that behind a good OL , no thanks.
Fadingpain Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 This isn't a Cassel thread. This isn't an EJ thread. This is a Whaley thread. Not sure some here see that.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 both guys stink it up about the same magnitude, just in different ways. At least Manuels horrific swings from a few decent throws to erratic and catastrophic provide more entertainment than Mehs inability to throw further than 4 yards downfield.
billsfan_34 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Which is only 20 more than Aaron Rodgers managed last night....... Putting those 2 in the same conversation is like saying a Chevy Cobalt is equivelant to a Corvetter ZO6
Maury Ballstein Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 ABC. Tried to tell the pro Cassel guys.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 ABC in Buffalo. Keep on Trucking Matt.
GunnerBill Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Okay people.... it was a joke. I am not saying Matt Cassel is good because Rodgers only threw for 77 yards... it was a joke. As Rodgers himself once said R-E-L-A-X.
Doc Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Thank god for Tyrod. Not so fast. If he can't stay healthy, he's useless.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Not so fast. If he can't stay healthy, he's useless. OMG injury prone! Injury prone!
Doc Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 OMG injury prone! Injury prone! So far he is. The Bills will have to draft a QB in round 1 next year.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) So far he is. The Bills will have to draft a QB in round 1 next year. So was Eric Wood and Marcus Easley, off the top of my head. Players get dinged up. It happens. Don't jump out of the plane every time it happens. Edited November 2, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
