Augie Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Trade them EJ What else do we have to give them to get the Jets to take him? I kid... (sort of). I like EJ the man.
K D Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Makes sense, he probably couldn't catch a plane to help them in time. Winner!
VaMilBill Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 When Carson Palmer was with the bengals I believe he had a similar injury and would just do all handoffs with his good hand and it seemed to work fine
iinii Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Makes sense, he probably couldn't catch a plane to help them in time. well played
Badasss Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What about Matt Simms? He played for the Jets. They could poach him from Atlanta's practice squad.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 @nyjets: Bowles: Fitzpatrick suffered torn ligaments in thumb. MRI tomorrow. Smith injured left shoulder and abdomen. Further evaluation needed. Fitz is tough, he will play
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Fitz is tough, he will play he has torn ligaments in his thumb. He will need surgery for that, no?
NoSaint Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What about Matt Simms? He played for the Jets. They could poach him from Atlanta's practice squad. What ties to today's jets does he have though
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) I think they sign Matt Flynn Edited November 2, 2015 by YoloinOhio
PromoTheRobot Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 What does that tell you about Bryce Petty?
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 What does that tell you about Bryce Petty?he was always considered a development QB/project. I'd be shocked if he's ready to play in a real game, thus the scramble to sign or trade for a QB instead of play a guy who has been there since OTAs.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Fitz is tough, he will play I am thinking the same. It is his non-throwing hand. Wouldn't surprise me if he just wraps it and shoots some cortisone and keeps going.
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Post-Halloween Fitz is never a treat http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/11/02/jets-ryan-fitzpatrick-geno-smith-steve-lichtenstein/
BarleyNY Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 he has torn ligaments in his thumb. He will need surgery for that, no? Probably. Not sure if it can wait until after the season or not though. In any event it's on his non-throwing hand so if he can still take snaps he can probably gut it out. The Jets are definitely better with him at QB than Gino so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 he has torn ligaments in his thumb. He will need surgery for that, no? non throwing hand, put some dirt on it
